- Y/N POV -

"—YOU WILL BE REPLACED BY THEM!" The president yelled, pointing towards me and 2 other cops. I looked up from my hands and slighty smiled at them, before looking back down, and ears-dropping on there conversation.

-short time skip-

I walked around on patrol and I stumbled upon a familiar police car, I looked curiously through the window to see those officers that were being scolded in the president's office just a few hours ago, 'I feel bad for them, this case could cost them there careers..' I thought to myself as I was walked up to the car window. they both looked at me, raising an eye brow, waiting for me to speak, "sorry to bump into you like this, but I just recognised you too to be the police officers working on the bob velseb case, correct?" They both sighed before saying "yeah. that's us.." they looked disappointed, or rather, embarrassed? "oh alright.. well if you ever need any help I'm just around the corner!" I said, giving them a soft smile. one of them started turning a soft pink colour, and the other nudged him on the shoulder, "mmmPH- right-" he said before straightening himself up, I couldn't help but giggle a bit, "so uh, I never got your names.." I said, before grabbing out a notepad to seem professional. "officer john." one said "officeR jack." the other muttered, his voice cracked slightly and his face turned that pink shade again. it was like something was wrong.
I looked at him, then back at john, he shrugged slightly as I giggled once more, "well, see u around!" I said as I walked off, realising I had spent a little too much time chit-chatting to my fellow policemen..

- john POV -

they walked off, and I looked back at jack, he looked almost ill. I pat his back, "are you alright jack?" I said, and he turned to me abruptly, "what was that?!" he screeched, I raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean..?" I said, curiously. "WHO WAS THAT?! HOW DID THEY KNOW US??!" he almost screamed, I sighed, "weren't u paying ANY attention to the president? that's one of the officers we could be replaced by." he looked at me for a moment, almost like he zoned out thinking in his little wonder world. "jack?" I said, waving my hand in front of his face.

- jack POV -
'I looked so stupid.' "jack?" 'If I don't find this guy I'll look like an utter idiot.' "jack stop daydreaming." 'I need to impress them.' "jack wake the-" "LETS GO FIND THIS GUY!!" I said, turning on the car and putting my hands on the stirring wheel. "..alright." John said in a confusing tone.

- LOOONNNG TIME SKIP -

- Y/N POV -
I walked up to the door of the morge, opening it slightly and peeking inside, "oh y/n! great to see you!" patty said, noticing me peaking on them, I straightened myself up and looked over to her, "Ah! I see you caught the guy?" I said, looking at the body then back at jack, "yeahh, looks like it's been through some shit.." jack giggled at my remark before john elbowed him in the chest, "oww.. yeah, it was pretty tough but we got him!" he said with a wide grin. "cute" I thought. "what?" jack said, looking at me as if he just saw a ghost. "Shit did I say that out loud?!-" I stammered, "yeaaah" jack giggled, I flushed a light crimson as I walked backwards slightly. "I.. I should go!" I screeched, trying to find an excuse to get out of there. "see you later officer y/n." John said, looking at me with a knowing look, I gave an awkward smile before walking out the door and slamming it behind me. "fuck that was awkward.." I mumbled to myself before walking out with a sigh.
