Funeral

"Alright guys, this will be the last one for tonight and then you guys can eat and do whatever you want after" Sky voice rang out after everyone calmed down. Miracle now seated in Derek's lap with Cam on his left and Bella on his right, Derek holding onto them not wanting to leave them.

It's the day of the funeral. It's supposed to start at 3 P.M. The whole town is going to be there along with Erica's parents who are flying down once they heard the news and Satomi and a few of her wolves who knew Miracle and Aroura. Right now, it's only 8 in the morning and Derek is out finishing the last touches to Boyd's and Aroura funeral while Cam and Bella are with her mother

Standing in her dance room at the loft, in blue leggings and sport bra Miracle goes over to the speaker she hooks up her phone before going to the middle of the room (Start at 13 seconds, stop at 2:00)

While dancing, she doesn't know Derek came home and is now standing at the door watching her with a worried expression. Once the music ended, Miracle slides down the wall staring at her reflection in the mirror Derek doesn't say anything as he walks over to her sitting beside her wrapping his arms around her bringing Miracle onto his lap as she buries her face in-between his neck

Leaning his head back Derek stares up at the ceiling thinking about everything that has happened these past few months, to Boyd and Erica getting kidnapped, then Erica dying to finding Cora and Boyd alive only to lose both Boyd and Aroura soon after. But what worries him the most is his wife; she hasn't said anything since he found her last night crying on the forest floor making no indication that she even knew what was happening until he gently bathes her last night her words ringing through his head

"Is it my fault, there gone Derek? I'm the protector but I couldn't even protect my kid and packmate" Hearing those words coming out of her mouth last night almost made him cry, they sounded to broken and lost... She was lost without those two bonds.

Derek looks down at his mate in his lap gently grabbing her chin stating in a gently but firm tone "Boyd and Aroura dying was not because of you. You fought until their last breath to save them but as you said before not everyone can be saved" Miracle doesn't say anything as tears fill her eyes, after all this time she still has a hard time accepting that their deaths weren't on her. She only nods cuddling more into her mate

"Miracle listen to me, you're in pain and I know you are" Derek breaks the silences, his words making her tense "You don't have to talk about it just yet but please, please don't hide what you're feeling from me. You can hide it from everyone else but please not me, let me feel what you feel, let me help you through this" Derek practically begs the pain could be heard in his voice. Pain of not being able to help his mate/wife. Not being able to really know how she feels when she keeps blocking the bond all he wants to do is help her, but he needs her to allow him to help

"What if they cause you pain. Derek my emotions are so strong, I don't want you to feel it" Miracle mutters into his neck "It will hurt baby, but you have to remember I don't just feel your pain and sadness or anger I feel everything. I will feel that happiness you feel when you wake up in the morning and see the kids cooking in the kitchen. I will feel it when we go on dates and when you're hanging out with the others." he tells her moving her head so she is looking at him "I will be feeling everything, that's how it's supposed to be. So, I can help you navigate your emotions just like you do for me. Let me help you" Miracle swallows the lump in her throat

Closing her eyes, she reaches for her and Derek's mate bond, taking down the wall that keeps her emotions in and allows them to flow freely through the bond. Hearing a gasp, she opens her eyes to see tears in Derek's eyes "Now you know" she tells him lowering her eyes to the floor "How is this ever going to get better, how can this ever go away?" she questions crying hating this pain in her chest. Derek pulls her closer hugging her tightly as sobs rake her body "Don't worry sweetheart. I'm here, anything you need I'm here. I will do anything to help you with this, I promise" Derek tells her as they both stay on the floor until Miracle tires herself out
