2: Rejection

Taehyung started laughing at Yena. "You will what? Whom?" He said while laughing at her. "I will confess to Minho today." She said and Taehyung's laughter died down.

"Minho? Since when?" He asked her seriously and she blushed. "Since last month. We were in the same group for the project and he treated me well."

"You were assigned a male partner for your project? But you never said it to me." Taehyung complained with a straight face. "Because you would have screamed at me?" Yena argued and Taehyung scoffed at her.

"You cannot just hide things from your best friend, Shin Yena!" He protested and Yena glared at him. "Look! This is why I didn't tell you. You scream at me. Anyway. He's going out. I need to go. I even dressed up for this today. Bye. See you later." She said standing up from her chair and leaving Taehyung.

After she went out Taehyung fisted his hands and shut his eyes while furrowing his brows. "You will get hurt, honey!"

Yena quickly ran towards Minho who was walking out of the university. "Minho!" She yelled and he turned while frowning at her.

"Yena? Whatsup? You need something?" He asked and she fiddled with the straps of her bag and looked down on the road.

"I want to tell you something." She said while looking down. "Go ahead," Minho said and finally, Yena looked at him.

"I like you, Minho. Will you be my boyfriend?" She said it and shut her eyes but suddenly heard Minho laughing. She opened her eyes and frowned at him.

"You like me? What made you like me?" Minho asked her. "You treated me well during our group project and also bought me lunch every day. You were kind to"

She stopped when she heard Minho laughing loudly while holding his tummy. "Oh my God, Yena. You're so stupid. I needed you to do all of the work for me that's why I acted like that. Why would I be genuinely kind to you?" He said and she frowned at him.

"What?" She asked while tearing up.
"I admit that you're cute and hot but believe me when I say this to you, you're not my type. You're a nerd. I don't dare nerds." He said and Yena looked down while tears streamed down her face.

Minho placed his hand on her shoulder but she didn't look up at him. "You are a nerd, Yena. People don't like you. You all don't have attractive personalities that can charm men." He said and turned to walk away.

Yena cried silently on the road until she felt two arms envelop her figure in a warm hug. "He doesn't deserve you, honey. Don't cry for him."

She buried her face into his chest and he wrapped his arm around her figure while she sobbed. "H-he said I'm not at-attractive. I cannot charm men."

Taehyung stroked her hair and pulled back to cup her face. He stared at her puffy, red eyes and soaked face. He looked at her warmly before leaning in to place a soft kiss on her nose.

"You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life. You're so attractive that I can't look at other girls in the world. You are as sweet as honey and the only girl I would like to have in my life." He said and she smiled at him with tears before hugging him tightly and crying more.

"Aww . . . My honey is crying. Why, baby? Don't cry. It makes my heart ache." He said while shutting his eyes and rocking their bodies while Yena started giggling.

She pulls back to look at him and sulks at him. "Will I ever get a boyfriend, Taetae?"

"Just use your hot best friend till then. He is there for you always. Let's have sex!" He said and she covered his mouth before glaring at him.

"What the hell? Stop! I'm not sleeping with you!" She said and looked around before walking away from there.

Taehyung turned back to look at Minho entering his car. He smirked before turning back to follow Yena.

"Honey, at least we can cuddle tonight! You're heartbroken anyway! Let me heal you."

"She got rejected?" Yena's mother asked Taehyung who nodded. "Yes, that's why I'm sleeping in with her tonight, Auntie."

"How dare that guy reject her?" She complained and Taehyung shrugged his shoulders while eating the French fries. "I'm staying in tonight. Cook loads."

"At this rate, you can just shift in here and stay with us. You're here every night." Yena's mother said while serving the food on the plate. "Not every night. Last night and tonight."

"You were here the night two days ago too, Taehyung." Yena's mother said. "Yeah, so I skipped a night. Hence, not every night."

"What are you guys talking about?" Yena says scrubbing her feet to sit beside Taehyung on the dining table. "We were discussing why Pluto was removed from the solar system," Taehyung said. Yena and her mother burst into laughter.

"Taehyung is the funniest! I swear." Yena's mother commented before sliding the plates to both of them. "Eat loads, honey," Taehyung says to Yena before starting to eat.

"I'm already unattractive. I don't want to get fatter." She whispered to his ears. "You are perfect, honey. Eat more. I'll marry you if no one does." He whispered into her ear before pecking her cheek and resuming to eat.

Yena blinked several times before looking up to see her mother back facing her while cooking something in the kitchen. She turned to look at Taehyung who was smirking while eating his food.

"Mom is here! Don't kiss me!" She whispered to him. Taehyung looked at her with a dark gaze before smiling again. "As you wish, honey."

"You scare me sometimes." She said before eating while Taehyung was busy thinking something to himself while chewing.

"Can I cuddle you tonight?" He said peeking his head up from the couch in her bedroom.

"No! Just sleep!" She snarled while using her phone. "Honey~" He whined and she sighed before glaring at him.

Taehyung had her desperate eyes and she melted under that gaze. She opened her arms for him and he cheered before jumping up from the couch to lunge into her on the bed.

He wrapped his arms around her figure and crossed his leg over hers. Yena giggled while hugging him. He placed his chin on her head while she buried her face on his chest.

"Did you change your perfume?" Taehyung asked and she hummed. "Minho said that he liked the strawberry scent so I-"
"STOP!"

She looked up at him and saw him shutting his eyes and clenching his jaws. He opened his eyes and smiled at her. "I'm buying you your favorite vanilla shower gels tomorrow." He said.

"You don't have to"
"Obey me, honey. Don't argue over this. I have lots of money I inherited from my parents. Don't stop me from spending it on you."

"But Taetae-"
"Honey, don't. Please." Taehyung said squeezing her arms and staring at her darkly.

There was something about Taehyung that was dominating Yena. She couldn't deny him. Ever since he became her best friend, whatever he wanted, she always had to obey.
