After listening to the recording, Yena covered her mouth in shock and cried while looking at Taehyung. "My mom was about to kill me the next day?" She asked and he sighed.
"Do you believe me now?" He asked and she looked at him while sobbing. "She drugged me? She played with me?" She mumbled while shaking her head.
"I tried telling you, Yena. But you never wanted to admit it. She only kept you there because of your money." He said and she cried more. Taehyung looked at her sadly before patting her head.
"It's not your fault. Your dad wanted her away from you too." He said and she looked at him. "If she asked me for the money then I would have given it to her gladly. Why did she have to pretend?" She asked.
"She is like that, Yena. Don't cry. Please. I'm sorry." He said while caressing her hair. "But why did you kill her instead of handing her to the police?" She questioned while glaring at him.
"She came back after so many years of leaving you. If she was arrested then after being released she would have returned to harm you again." He said and she looked at him.
"So you're Taehyung or Taehoon?" She asked and he smiled. "I'm Kim Taehyung." He replied.
"You're a gangster?" She asked and he nodded. "Why did you both approach me?" She asked and he rested on the couch while groaning in pain.
Yena gasped and started dressing his wound while he stared at her. "You were crying miserably at your dad's burial. I was there to see my mother's tomb when I heard your mother's conversation with her lover about the plan to murder you.
At first, I just wanted to protect you from her so I approached you. But since I couldn't always be there in Seoul because my business is here in Daegu, I asked Taehoon to keep an eye on you when I was not there. But gradually he got obsessed with you and when I told him that you were about to confess to Minho, he lost control and-"
"He ran him over with a car?" Yena finished his sentence and he nodded. "He is a bit twisted. He becomes impulsive and does hideous things. I can't even control because he can manipulate someone easily-"
"He manipulated me too?" She asked while using the bandage and he looked at her. "Did you feel controlled sometimes?" He questioned and she bobbed her head.
"A lot. He didn't allow me to meet people, cried to make me surrender and pity him, and my dresses were chosen by him and even told me to control my eating sometimes. I thought that it was you being moody sometimes but now I can figure out when it was you and when it was him." She said she he smiled at her.
"That night on my birthday, it was you in the bathroom but when I went out the guy with the shirt on was Taehoon, right?" She asked and he chuckled. "I hate wearing shirts at home so yeah."
"You went with me to my birthday date, right?" She asked and he nodded. "You took my consent every time before touching me but sometimes you didn't and were very aggressive. And when Taehoon told me that you both are twins, I realized that you're the one who took my permission." She said.
Yena turned to look up at Taehyung and he smiled. She smiled and cupped his face before leaning in to kiss his lips.
His eyes widened while she kissed him gently. He slightly pushed her back and she looked at him in confusion.
"Yena, I still killed your mother. I'm a gangster and Taehoon will hurt you if you're with me." He said and she smiled before pecking his cheek.
"Why does he have to win always? You can fight for me. We can fight against him. We love each other." She said and he pulled her hands away from his face.
Yena frowned at him. She spotted him tearing up and she looked at him with big eyes.
"You don't know my story, Yena. I can't kill him. I can never kill my brother. I'm afraid that he might kill you or me if he gets impulsive someday but still, I can't kill him." He said while a few drops of tears streamed down his face.
"I'm pathetic, Yena." He said and she shook her head before holding his hands. He looked up at her with red eyes and she smiled warmly.
"You're not pathetic, Taehyung. You are a gangster but still, you have a heart. I love that about you. You take care of me so well. You're good." She said.
"I'm not. He always gets what he wants. We can't win against him." He said but she looked at him sadly before saying.
"Do you mind telling me something about your childhood with him?"
