19: Exchange

Yena entered her childhood home in Daegu while Taehyung helped her with her luggage. She turned to look at him while he smiled at her warmly.

"Thank you." She said and he smiled before approaching her and hugging her softly. She blinked several times before slowly pushing him away.

Taehyung looked at her in confusion but then shrugged it off. "What about Taehoon? Where is he?" She asked him and he smiled while backing away.

"He won't meet you. The police arrested him because I gave them the evidence of your mother's death." He said and she looked away.

"I want to have some time alone." She said and he nodded. "Sure, honey. I'll leave you now. I'll visit you sometime. Call me if you need something." Taehyung said and kissed her forehead before going towards the door.

He looked up at her and smiled warmly. "Take care, honey."  She smiled at him and nodded before he left her father's home and walked over to his car.

He sat inside his car and slowly drove himself to his country house in Daegu. He entered the house and spotted someone drinking whiskey on the couch. A gun was on the coffee table and two guards were behind the couch, guarding him.

Taehyung sighed before walking over to him and beside him. The guy locked his gaze with him and smiled at him.

"Why would you scare her that way? This wasn't a part of our deal, Taehyung!" He said and he scoffed.

He put his whiskey glass on the table and smirked at him. "Did you manage to convince her that you're Taehyung?" He asked and Taehoon nodded before saying.

"That was our deal from the beginning. We heard her mother at her dad's funeral who was planning to take her in and later kill her. You wanted to save her and I gave you the idea. I made friends with her in Seoul and helped her graduate—"

"You missed a point here. You got obsessed with her and became so possessive that you killed Minho, Yuri, and Hiro because they spoke to her. That wasn't our plan." Taehyung said and Taehoon gritted his teeth before looking at the guards.

Taehyung chuckled while seeing him and turned to signal his guards to leave them alone. "Your psycho personality overtook you and you killed innocent ones, Taehoon. You know I almost got caught because you carelessly left evidence while killing Minho?" Taehyung said, trailing his fingers along the gun.

"But Yena saved you! She cares for you! And you also kissed her and slept with her! That wasn't our deal as well!" Taehoon said while fisting his hands.

"That's because she cares for everyone. You are good at manipulating her, Taehoon. You slept with her too. Did I ask?" He said darkly, looking at his brother who rolled his eyes at him.

"Because she's mine. You agreed to kill her mother because you wanted to help her. I agreed to not tell anyone and use your name and money to have her in my life. That was what we decided in the beginning." Taehoon said and Taehyung stood up.

He smiled at his brother and nodded before taking the gun in his pocket and fixing his jacket. "You still killed more people than me. I killed her mother because she was at fault. You killed innocent people. You seem more like a gangster to me than myself." Taehyung said before walking back to the cellar to bring a new bottle of whiskey.

"But why did you go to her that night?" Taehoon asked him and he looked at him blankly. "I was just following her and she got scared and started running. Not my fault." Taehyung said and Taehoon scoffed.

"So now that your job is done, you can leave us alone. We can manage things by ourselves." Taehoon said.

Taehyung turned, his back facing Taehoon while he stared at the ring that Yena gave on his finger.

"Should I?" He asked and Taehoon hummed. "You had your fun with her so now leave her up to me."

Taehyung chuckled and turned to face him while sipping on the whiskey in his hands. "I guess I'll listen to you. But you won't kill anybody, right? You won't hurt her, right?" Taehyung asked and Taehoon glared at him.

"That's none of your concern. She is mine so I can do whatever I want with her! You leave!" Taehoon said and Taehyung finished the glass of whiskey before keeping the empty glass on the table and looking at Taehoon.

"You know brother, what's the most special thing about us?" He asked and Taehoon frowned at him. "What?"

"We are so similar in appearance and personality but still we are so different," Taehyung said and stood up to walk towards the door. He turned to Taehoon and smiled at him before saying.

"Don't worry, brother. I won't meet her again."
