3.How was the meeting?

I stop in front of the Salvatore estate, amazed that we were outside.

"I don't think we made it out of there alive."

"Believe me, he's up to something. Otherwise we'd be dead by now. He let us go on purpose," says Kat.

Without knocking, I enter the property and, as expected, everyone is still there.

Damon quickly rushes to Kat and slams her against the wall.

"DAMON!" I admonish him.

"Sorry, had to be," he shrugs.

"Nice to see you again." Kat said.

"How did you manage to escape with Katherine?" Elena asks me.

"Yes, we were just going to help you." comes from Care this time.

"To be honest, I have no idea either. We think he let us go, but we don't know why."

"I'm glad you're alive at least."

What happens to Katherine now?" Jeremy asks after a while.

"What's going to happen to me?" she asks snippy.

"How about we just kill her?" Damon suggests.

"Damon!" I admonish him again.

"All right. Was just a joke! More or less" He mumbles the last part softly.

"Do you want to go to the grill? My shift is about to start."

"Please e? We're too exhausted for that." I whiny until he finally gives in.

A few minutes later, all of us except Bonnie and Elena are happily sipping our blood bags

"Do you actually have a boyfriend?" Elena asks me.

"No, I've been single for 11 years. But I'm not really looking for one either. " I tell.

"Oh god, you mean that Bryon?" scoffs Kat.

She met him once and immediately decided that she didn't like him.

"Yes, and his name was Brandon!" I correct her indignantly.

"Yeah, whatever." Kat waves it off, annoyed.

"How so? Was he an asshole?" Care asks.

"Yes"

"No" Kat and I answer at the same time.

"He wasn't one!" I defended my ex.

"Oh yes. God, I can still remember him. He was so boring.

What did you find in him?"

"He was nice!" I justify.

"Oh yes? And why did you guys break up?" Kat looks at me triumphantly. She knows why! Why is she still asking?!

"He was too nice." I mumble under my breath.

Kat laughs and the other two grin too.

We'll talk for about 30 more minutes

"I don't know what you're doing, but I'm going to bed now:'

Everyone agrees and I was able to convince Kat to come along and luckily the others agreed too.

Arriving at the grill, Matt goes straight to the back personnel area.

We sit down at one of the tables and have a chat. I asked everyone to put their guns down because it would be great if my friends got along well. The others agreed, but it took a long time to persuade Damon.
