Vivian's point of view:
I'm getting ready for the homecoming with Rebekah.
"Bekah! You look amazing." I shriek.
"Thank you, you did my makeup and hair really well."
"Yes, but you look 1000 times prettier in that dress"
"Okay, now put on your dress and try not to ruin the make-up and hairdo. laughs
beh.
I did hair and makeup for Bekah and she did it for me.
"You look gorgeous!" squeaks Bekah.
"Thanks, then I'll go to my room and later, when everyone's ready, we'll drive off." I give her
Know and go.
Narrator's point of view:
Rebekah stands in Stefan's room and looks at herself in the mirror.
She is wearing a beautiful red dress.
"You've already started, huh?" Elena asks as she enters the room.
"Do you want to hear the embarrassing truth? This is my first prom." Rebekah confesses, turning to Elena.
"Your first ever?" Elena marvels.
"I've never had time for high school before. Nik and I have always moved around. On the run..
Have you heard from him again?"
"No, but when he comes back, he'll definitely be in style."
"And Damon and my father are ready with the plan?"
Elena nods.
"Do not tell me. I want to go to the ball and leave the rest to Mikael."
Elena feels a bit guilty that she's about to betray Rebekah.
"I know it's hard. Thank you for helping us to bring Klaus back to the city anyway." Elena says thank you.
"Just be careful. I was on the run for 1000 years for a reason. Mikael is not a good person and you must not trust him under any circumstances. No one in my family," warns Rebekah.
"Are you alright?" Elena asks as tears start to form in Rebekah's eyes.
"I've loved and hated my brother in equal measure all my life. I never thought I'd help put a stake in his heart." Rebekah says, and Elena's guilt mounts.
"How do I look?"
"Absolutely gorgeous, but there's still something missing." Elena says, holding up Rebekah's necklace that once belonged to Esther.
"Mom's necklace." Rebekah whispers to herself and smiles.
"You should wear them today. May I?" Rebekah nods and Elena puts the chain on her.
Suddenly, Elena thrusts a dagger through Rebekah's chest from behind.
Rebeka's skin is slowly turning gray and it is difficult for her to breathe.
"I'm terribly sorry. I can't leave anything to chance," Elena says before Rebekah 'dies'.
Vivian's point of view:
"Vivi! Come down, let's go!" shouts Stefan.
I quickly pull the headphones out of my ears, turn off the music and dash down to the others
Automobile.
"Where's Bekah?
"She left at short notice."
I turned to Damon.
"And why? We got ready together earlier."
"She said it was too much for her. After all, Klaus is her brother." Stefan answers my question.
Elena just stayed silent and avoided my gaze.
"Elena, is something?"
"No, everything is OK. I'm just a little excited."
I couldn't blame her. I'm also excited about what's going to happen today. I could too
understand Rebekah. Betraying your brother is difficult.
The prom was temporarily turned into a party held at Tyler's because the high school's gym flooded again.
We all go to the garden and see a stage with live music. Shortly thereafter, the band stopped and..
Klaus!? takes over the microphone.
"Good evening everyone! Thank you, my dear friends, for celebrating with me tonight. I've been waiting for this moment to see you again for a long time." On the last sentence he looked at me across the audience.
He looked deep into my eyes, which makes me nervous. I quickly look away to see Mikael watching me from outside the property. I look away again, confused.
Do they both have to stare at me!?
After Klaus' speech, I went back into the house to get a drink.
Klaus' presence totally confuses me.
I see Stefan running out of the property and go to him.
"Where are you going?"
"There's a change of plan. Klaus wants me to bring Mikael to him. I'm going to him and Damon."
I just nod and he's gone.
After a while I got bored and I'm looking for one of my friends.
"Elena! There you are. You're all distracted and I'm bored."
"I was just going to get a drink, come with me.'0
Something about her undertone sounds different.
I quickly find out what is different and gasp in surprise.
"Why didn't you text me or answer my calls?!" I scold.
"You know I'm upset about Klaus. I forgot about that, sorry."
I raise an eyebrow reproachfully and look at her.
"Are you serious? I don't mean Elena, I mean you, Kat! Do you really think you could fool me? I've known you for over 400 years." I look at her waiting
"Wow, I'm impressed."
"What are you doing here!?"
"I'm not going to miss the show. Also, I'm supposed to play Elena in case something goes wrong."
cat
"Okay come with me! We have to catch up on old times."
After talking for a while, we parted ways and she disappeared somewhere in the crowd.
I'm still sitting here at the bar drinking a coke. For tonight, I really need to stay sober.
I've tried calling Rebekah a few times but she won't answer. I throw my phone on the counter in frustration.
"What's the matter with you?" I hear an amused voice asking behind me.
"What do you want?" I ask annoyed.
"Didn't we agree that you shouldn't use your first names, dear?"
"And didn't I tell you my name is Vivian and not dear?" I retorted cheekily.
"Aren't you glad to see me again?"
"No not true. I was hoping I wouldn't have to see you again." I give him a fake smile.
For a moment I think I see vulnerability in his eyes, but I'm sure I was imagining it.
