29. Yes, even two!

Next day

Yesterday evening, I went home, since me that really nothing more at went.

This was now a family matter.

Damon and Stefan went to Elena to tell her everything.

I am sitting in the living room when the doorbell rings.

Confused, I open it and see a letter on the doormat. I take it to my room.

There I look at my bed in surprise. There was a big box there, with the same letter. I open the first letter first.

So it was an invitation to the Mikaelson Ball.

'Please join the Mikaelson family tonight at 7pm.'

On the back I find an inscription.

'Vivian, I think it's time we got to know each other better with Esther signed. What does Esther want from me now?

I thought we were finally done with each other.

I put the invitation aside for now and walk up to the box and open the letter.

What a surprise. Also an invitation to the Mikaelson Ball.

Didn't they agree on who to invite?

Never mind then I just got two invitations.

On the back, just like the first one, there is something written down.

He's serious? He's inviting me to the ball? Even after I ram a dagger into his arm?

Carefully I open the box.

It is brown with a large white bow adorned.

Inside the box is a beautiful dress. "Omg, this is stunning." I whisper in fascination.

An hour has passed and all my friends are back.

"Did you guys get an invitation to the ball too?" asks Elena.

"Yes, two actually," I sigh.

"Two?" Everyone looks at me questioningly.

"Yes, one from Esther, she has written that she wants to talk to me and one from Klaus, with a dress to it I tell cheerfully

"Wait a minute what? Esther also sent Elena an invitation where she wrote that she also wants to talk to Elena?" tells Damon and everyone gets curious.

"What do you think she wants to tell us?" asks Elena's.

"I have no idea, but we should start getting ready." I decide and Elena agrees.

"Wait a minute, which one of us didn't get an invitation?

Caroline, Bonnie, Stefan and Damon come forward.

"Ok so I could take one of you as my plus one," I say.

"But don't you already have a plus one?" laughs Care.

"Well, you can have two. Besides, I didn't agree to go with Klaus at all. I'll take you and Elena will take Stefan and Damon. Bonnie, you said you didn't want to go there anyway, right?"

"Alright then, you're my escort Care." I smile.

"Come on, let's go to your place and get ready. We'll all meet at the Mikaelsons at 7pm sharp, I decide.

I quickly get the dress and leave with Caroline. At her place we do each other's makeup and hair.

"Omg, you look great!"

"You look perfect too. Well I have to say I really outdid myself. played Care proudly pats herself on the back, which makes me laugh.

"Alright, here we go. Let's get to the ball."

Together we make our way to the Mikaelsons.

Once we arrive, we step inside.

"Wow, it looks beautiful." fascinated, I looked at the decorations.

"It's really beautiful here."

"Hey, there's Klaus over there."

I look in the direction she is pointing. When I meet Klaus's gaze, I get slightly nervous.

"Go see him." Care tries to motivate me.

Slowly, I walk confidently towards him and he approaches me.

'I need a drink?" I say quickly and disappear back to the bar where Care is standing.

"Are you serious?"

"What, I didn't know what to say."

"God, you're never going to get it right on your own."

"Well, I can talk to him later. It's not like this was my only chance."

"Here, take this."

She hands me a glass of champagne and I accept it gratefully.

I keep an eye out for my friends.

I see Damon talking to Carol and Kol. Just then Elena comes in and Stefan and Damon walk right up to her.

Care has disappeared somewhere in the crowd and Elena just joins me at the bar.

"Looking good," I say.

"Thanks, so do you. Klaus picked out the perfect dress for you."

As we're talking, Finn joins us.

"Elena Gilbert I presume. I'm Finn Mikaelson introduces himself to Finn.

"We've met before, haven't we?" he says to me.

"You're here to see my mother."

"Is she here?" asks Elena.

"The invitation wasn't for friends." says Finn, referring to Damon, Stefan, and Care.

"They're protecting me because their mother "tried" to kill me once before," Elena replies.
