Next day

By now everyone knows that I am alive again and we all spent the night together celebrating.

All my friends, except the Mikaelson's, I have told what I have worked out with Esther. Bonnie offered her help and together we can really manage to open Esther's coffin.

Now I'm sitting in the living room with Bonnie and we're looking for a spell powerful enough to open the coffin.

to open the coffin.

It's more practical if a

Bennett witch to help me, since Esther was also locked in the coffin by a Bennett witch.

"Ok, I found something and together we could really do it," Bonnie chimes in.

"Let me see it." I read through the spell and agree.

"Then let's let the others know and get going. The faster we are, the better. Then we'll have it over with.

Bonnie agrees and we quickly told the others we were ready.

"Where's her coffin again?" I ask.

"In the tunnel under the Lockwoods.tt.

Bonnie and I set off while the others waited at home. Before we leave, we quickly packed everything we need and off we go.

In the middle of the forest we arrived and enter the tunnel.

"I'm telling you, if I were here alone, I would definitely get lost," I joke.

Laughing, Bonnie turns to me.

"Don't worry, it's not that complicated. We'll be right there."

In the cave, I see the coffin.

"You get out the grimoire again and I'll set up the candles," I say.

Incendia" I whisper and all the candles are lit,

"Good are you ready?"

I nod and she takes my hand in hers. Together we chant three times until a gust of wind comes and we hear a click, on the coffin.

"Do you think it worked?"

"It must have," I answer.

Slowly I step closer and am about to open the coffin.

"Don't! Be careful, what if she wakes up? What will happen then? She's the primordial witch."

"Yes, but how else will we know if she woke up?"

"Your job was just to open her coffin. Whether she wakes up is her business, not yours, so it can't matter to you. Your job is already done."

Smiling, I agree with her. We leave the tunnels and walk leisurely back to the Salvatore estate.

"Did you make it?"

As soon as we arrive, Caroline dashes to us.

'Yes, her coffin is open, but whether she'll wake up, I don't know,' I reply.

"At least you don't owe her anything now.' I see Damon coming around the corner

"Yeah, you got that right." and give him a quick hug.

"You guys want to go to the grill later? Matt texted me that he has a late shift." Elena speaks up.

"Well, I'd be in," and everyone else agrees.

I put on something more comfortable and head into town with the others.

We stroll leisurely and talk about old times. The evening air was perfect. You can go out without a jacket and the cool breeze is refreshing.

"Five glasses of bourbon" I order for Ric, Stefan, Damon, Tyler and me since the others wanted different things.

Tyler, Jeremy, Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, Alaric, Stefan, Damon and I sit down at a large table.

All day I had to think about Klaus. We kissed. We actually kissed. I still can't believe it. We were both so relieved, happy, and briefly confused. Then it just happened. I don't know how to act towards him now.

Did the kiss mean something to him? Did he mean something to me?

I'm still confused and can't really think straight since the kiss. But now I want to have fun with my friends.

I want to have fun with my friends. I can deal with my thoughts tomorrow.

"How did Klaus react when he saw you?" Elena wants to know.

A smile spreads across my face as I remember the kiss again.

"He had turned off humanity and when he saw me, it automatically turned on again. He was totally surprised and you should have seen his face." I laugh.

"Did anything else happen?" asks Bonnie.

"No, why?" I ask, looking at the disappointed faces of my three friends.

"What's wrong?"

"We thought well... that, at least, you fell into each other's arms. or that something else exciting had happened." explains Caroline.

"What do you mean by

'something more exciting'?"

"Well, a kiss!"

Dumbfounded, I look at Elena. Do they know something? Have they figured me out?

"What makes you think that?" I clear my throat.

"He apparently means something to you, and you mean something to him! And since you've sort of come back from the dead, we thought you fell into each other's arms and kissed out of happiness, excitement, and relief."

Should I tell them? I think.

"Ok. Yes we kissed!" it suddenly blurts out of me. Realizing this, I look in shock at my friends' faces.

"OMG WHAT?"

"Blondi, don't yell like that!" complains Damon.

"Ok, this is girl talk from now on. Guys, get lost." decides Care and is now busy shooing the men away.

"Alright we'll be fine, but Vivi, we're still talking!" Damon calls out before disappearing through the door.

"Girls and their girl talk." mumbles Stefan as he too disappears along with Tyler and Ric.

"Good, now tell us everything! How did it happen? When did it happen exactly? What happened before that? What did it feel like? Did you like it? What did you feel during it? What is going on between you now? Are you together? What did Klaus say about it? Who started the kiss? Is he a good kisser?" the three of them bombard me full on.

"Take it easy. One question after the other. Nobody can see through that anymore, I laugh.

Calmly, I tell them everything that happened when I found Klaus. How it felt, how I feel and and and . I tell every detail and leave nothing out.

During the telling, they look at me tensely and didn't speak a word.

Yes and then we just kissed. It happened so fast and I haven't talked to him about it since. I don't know how to feel about it now either or how he feels about it."

"He likes you too! Even more than like you, otherwise he wouldn't have kissed you." Bonnie reassures me.

"I think you guys should talk together." Elena advises, and Caroline just nods in agreement.

After our evening, everyone goes home. I wanted to go to bed and finally sleep, but someone put a spoke in my wheel. Damon is already sitting in the salon. He looked at me as if he had just been waiting for me to come.

"I just finished interrogating the girls, then can you please spare me today? It's already one in the morning." I ask with a sugary smile.

"You can forget it and your little innocent smile won't help anymore."

Groaning, I sit down on the sofa next to him.

"Alright, get started."
