Neji politely knocks on Sanemi's door bright and early, ready to take me into his care for the entire Saturday. Before the two of us depart, I lightly hug Sanemi goodbye, seeing as I was able to bond with him last night.

"So, Y/N," Neji says in his usual, proper tone, "What would you like to do today?"
I tap my index finger to my chin, wondering what activities the two of us should partake in. After all, we have no homework to do, seeing as we both completed all of it on Friday night.

"Can we explore town a little?" I ask hopefully, "I still feel like the area's so foreign to me. On Thursday, Tengen showed me around the city, but the suburbs are still unfamiliar."
Neji beams at me, his lavender eyes reflecting the sunlight as its rays shine down upon us.

He's like a real-life prince.

"Of course," he agrees, "I will take you to all of my favorite places."
The two of us stroll down the sidewalk, side-by-side, enjoying light conversation until Neji abruptly stops in front of a beautifully-crafted fountain in the center of the square. It's huge, and the water spewing out of it is crystal clear.

"This is where I come to read," he informs me, "Especially on a sunny day——it's so peaceful here, away from prying eyes."
I sit along the edge of the fountain and scoop some of the water into my palms. Feeling mischievous, I lightly splash Neji with it, snickering at his shocked reaction. He's so serious and put-together, so when something surprises him, he gets this really adorable expression on his face.

"I'm sorry!" I exclaim afterward, "I just couldn't help it! You're so fun to mess with."
Neji can't help but laugh along with me.

"Why must you always mess around, Y/N?" He rhetorically questions between chuckles.

As he removes a thin cloth from his pocket to dry himself with, I offer to clean him up.

"It's the least I can do," I mumble as I dab his clothes dry.

At one point, our eyes meet, and my hands stop moving all together as I begin to deepen my gaze.

"You know," he whispers, "I usually find it rude to stare at a lady for so long... but... you're so beautiful that I can't turn away."
Even Neji has romantic feelings for me? He's the last person I would have suspected.

"So are you," I reply without much hesitation, "You're beautiful too, Neji."
Before things can progress any further, he clears his throat, proving himself to be the first of the boys to show restraint.

"Let's keep moving," he suggests, "There are many other places I would like you to see."

———

For the rest of the day, Neji and I visit different locations around town, and he explains what they all symbolize to him. But, before we know it, time gets the better of us and it's already seven in the evening. The sun has set but the town is awake with the excitement of Saturday night. Neji informs me that there is a festival taking place near his home, and I insist upon visiting it, seeing as I've never actually experienced a festival before. Being the gentleman he is, he accepts my proposal and escorts me to the event. I marvel in awe at all of the beautiful lights and lanterns hanging over head. Couples, friends and families are going from place to place, eating food and playing games.

"This is so cool!" I squeal excitedly.

Neji nods in agreement before gently taking my hand and leading me somewhere.

"Come with me, I'd like to try something, if that's alright with you..."

The two of us wind up outside of a food truck, waiting in line to order.

"I've never eaten at a food truck before," Neji explains, at which I widen my eyes.

"Seriously?! The food's amazing!" I exclaim, "Back at home, I used to eat at food trucks whenever I got the chance. It's convenient and fast."

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at his lack of food truck experience, though, considering that he's a pretty formal person.

"Yes, that's what everyone tells me," he says, "So I must try it."

Eventually, we make it to the front of the line and put in our orders. The food takes about five minutes to arrive, and then we find a table to sit at and eat. I observe Neji's face eagerly as he opens his mouth to take the first bite. As he begins to chew the food, his eyes light up in the cutest way.

"Wow, you were correct, Y/N," he states, "It's wonderful."

I smile at him before devouring my food as well.

We eat the rest of our meals quickly and then decide to head back to Neji's house, which I still haven't seen. The two of us end up walking a few blocks before we arrive there, but I don't mind. Simply being in his presence fills me with happiness.

I'm so lucky to have met him.

He unlocks the front door and allows me to step inside first before he follows closely behind me.

"Welcome in," he says cheerfully, "I live alone, so please don't judge. I try to keep it as tidy as possible, but every once in a while, I find myself hit with a wave of laziness."
As I glance around, I furrow my brow skeptically. The entire place is spotless——what could he be talking about? I wish I had the discipline to keep my living space this clean!

"Y/N, would you like to watch a movie, perhaps?"
That sounds like a great idea, actually! I haven't watched any television since I arrived in this world.

"Sure!" I respond emphatically.

Neji leads me into the living room, where we both collapse onto the comfortable couch, directly next to one another.

As he turns the television on, he begins to scroll through all sorts of movies and TV shows.

"What would you like to see? Do you prefer thrillers or——"
Before Neji can utter another word, however, the television abruptly shuts off. I glance around as I notice the lights go out and the air conditioning power down as well.

"It must be a power outage," I murmur.

Neji sighs.

"Why must this always happen at the most inconvenient times?" He scoffs.

I chuckle and rest a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry about it," I assure him, "You've kept me entertained enough for one night."
But when the gorgeous boy looks me in the eyes, my smile fades.

The moonlight is reflecting his mysterious eyes in a breathtaking way, and his pretty face seems all but angelic under its soft glow.

Tension seeps into the room, and I lose my breath as we become closer to one another, like two magnets being pulled together.

Before either one of us can realize it, our lips are just seconds away from touching. But Neji stops moving just before they collide.

"Are you sure you're okay with this?" He whispers almost inaudibly.

Not bothering to respond, I lean into him, answering his question with my lips as they caress his gently. When I get ready to pull away, I'm pleasantly surprised as he softly grips the back of my head, returning my lips to his.

"I'm very sorry, Y/N," he says in-between kisses, "I tried to resist temptation but..."
He locks lips with me again before finishing his sentence.

"...I'm too weak."
After quite some time, Neji finally finds the strength to let go of me and turn away. I'm left with a pounding heart as tingles float throughout my body.

He's not the weak one... I lost all common sense when we were that close to one another. I couldn't even think straight!

"Please forgive me," he continues, clearly ashamed of himself.

I rest a hand on his cheek.

"You have nothing to apologize for, Neji," I promise him, "I actually... enjoyed it."

His eyes sparkle as I admit this embarrassing truth.

"Now, I really should go to bed," I say, standing from the sofa, "I'm spending the day with Levi tomorrow, after all."
