Chapter 53

Jordan opens the door and we walk in. We're downstairs in the basement. The meeting is about to start.

"Come in." I hear max say.

"Is it alright if Amanda joins?" Jordan asks max.

"I don't mind." He says.

We both walk in. I see many people. Max,Alexis,my mother, and a few other people that I don't recognize.

I take a seat beside Jordan.

"Okay now since everyone is here we'll begin." Max says, "does anyone have anything to confess or something that has been going on?"

"Maxwell...sir theres been a few people who have been wanting to go to the city." A man -whom I have no idea who he is- speaks.

"Abigail will help you with that after this meeting." Max says calmly.

"Max?" I say.

"Amanda...why isn't it good to talk." He says a little harshly.

"I just wanted to say that we needed new gear and equipment for the training room. Lots of pieces are starting to crumble." I say.

"We'll send some men to go get newer equipment." He says.

Jordan speaks up, "Max the library why aren't we allowed to bring the books out?"

"If someone from-" Abigail says.

"Abigail I know what to say." Max says harshly.

"Your not the only boss around here. Jordan's about to be coach, Alexis is head aid-caretaker, and Jonah is the head guard for protecting the compound. There all the bosses for there own thing. And your not the only one who is and will be the leader of this compound. " And with that she doesn't speak anymore.

We've been in here for hours asking questions. So eventually my eyes start to close. But I stay up, awake till the meeting has ended.

The meeting did just end. Everyone stood up from there chairs and left the room without a word. As if this meeting never was taken place before.

Is there something that there not telling us?

"Amanda." Jordan says.

"Hello." I say cheerfully

"That was...eventful." He says as if it's a question.

I smile. We're alone, outside.

"It's getting warmer." I say.

He pulls me into a hug. "Do you think that there hiding something from us?" I ask him.

"Maybe...I just figured out that they have these very boring meeting that take hold in the basement...so yes I think so." He responds with sarcasm filled in his voice.

I chuckle quietly.

"We're going to be fine." He says silently.

"Yes, yes we are." I think to myself.

Ashley's POV

"It's going to be in two weeks." I inform Kyle.

"Two weeks till this mystery person comes." Kyle says, still pacing back and forth. I hear his steps.

I see the person. Her cloak...It's blood red like my hair

"She has a red cloak." I say.

"It's a she?" He says with confusion in his voice.

"I think. I could always be wrong." I say.

"Ok so it's a she, and she's wearing a red cloak? Correct?" He says.

"Yes." I respond.

"Oh okay." He says, "do you see anything else?"

"No." I say opening my eyes, stumbling a bit.

"You okay?" He says.

"Yea just too much running." I say smiling.

He smiles and stops pacing.

"I'll check on her in a few hours." I say, "go do something."

"I know what you did with Amanda."

Her name disgusts me.

"I know you threw the knife." He says, "why?"

"I don't like keeping things from others." I say looking down at my feet.

"That's not the only reason."

He knows me too well.

"Yes, yes I do."

Stupid mind linking.

"I agree with you."

"Stop reading my mind...please." I grovel.

"You know it's a wolf thing." He says, "I can't turn it off."

"There's a way to." I say immediately.

"Do you know how?"

"No."

We don't speak after that. I eventually sit down and Kyle leaves with a simple goodbye.

I'm in my room sitting down on my bed now.

This person she's unpredictable. I'm still not sure what she's going to do. Or even if she is a she. It could be anyone. But all I know is that she's running in this direction and that she is trying to get to her children. I would love to help her but I can't.

I can't...I'm not allowed. And anyways I doubt they would let me.
I'm there guest I shouldn't be thinking about the future...but I can't help it.

She's coming In Approximately one day and two weeks. That's when I'll be myself again.
