The sunlight peaked through the blinds the next morning, waking both Mason and Alina. Mason was laying on his side, facing Alina, with her wrapped in his embrace.
Today was the day he was leaving, and for the first time they would be away from each other for a longer time. Neither of them were overthinking it because they both knew they'd meet after each game, but it was still a big deal.
She placed a kiss on his cheek causing his lips form into a smile and pulling her in closer to himself. "You're leaving in an hour, Mase, it's getting late," she giggled, releasing that he didn't want to get out of bed anytime soon.
"I'll just go tomorrow," he joked, making her laugh.
"Come on, babe," she said, pressing a soft kiss to his nose. He grumbled in response when he felt her getting out of his grip.
Mason's bags were already packed; he just needed to get changed and eat something before the Uber arrived.
Alina walked down to the kitchen, preparing a fruit salad and a smoothie for him; it's one of his favorite things to eat in the morning because of the freshness of it.
Mason forced himself up, took a quick shower, and changed into his England tracksuit. He went downstairs with his backpack, and Alina looked at him with a smile, thinking that this was actually happening. The love of her life is going to represent his country at the World Cup.
"Finally awake," she chuckled, placing the bowl of fruit salad in front of him. He laughed as he took a seat.
"I don't understand why we need to leave so early," he said as he yawned.
"You should be excited, Mase," Alina looked at him.
"I am; I'm just tired," he yawned again, making her giggle.
"You have my shirt, right?" he asked her.
"Of course," she sat next to him, eating her breakfast.
"You still gonna support Canada?" Mason asked, looking at her.
"I'm supporting you; Canada can survive without my support." She smiled as she placed a kiss on his cheek.
"Thank you," he smiled back.

Mason had only left a few minutes ago after a long goodbye. They both got a bit emotional but Alina pushed him over to the car before she would stop him from leaving herself.
As soon as he left, Alina locked up his house and took her car back to hers to get her cameras ready for a new photoshoot tonight for Ilana Luna.
She was meeting up with Emelia at Ilana's house; it was just them two helping out with the shoot because Carlotta is on vacation with her boyfriend at the moment.
The photoshoot didn't take long; Emelia styled Ilana and Alina and took pictures here and there without them noticing. Then she took more pictures of Ilana posing for the camera.
They took a short break, and just then Mason texted Alina. She picked her phone up and smiled at the message.

After the photoshoot, Alina went home to edit the pictures so that Emelia could post them later. The rest of the day she just had a relaxing day, cooking something for herself and scroll through social media.
As for Mason, they all were having media day meaning they needed to do interviews and also attend an event with Nike to meet school kids and prince William to get their shirt numbers.
The boys were also flying out to Qatar tonight, Mason made sure to speak to his whole family before going to the plane, and face time Alina as well.
The flight was going to take a couple of hours, so Mason spent his time playing games on his Nintendo switch with Declan and also get some sleep.
