a ruthless original who burns everyone and everything around him but wouldn't let a flame touch her.
and an angel who resembles a mirrorball with her many faces and facades.
a perfect match indeed.

✶ 𝔰𝔦𝔵𝔱𝔢𝔢𝔫 ⌢ a brooding fool ˇ !
Elijah paused as she entered the house and once she noticed him right in front of the door she smiled slightly in embarrassment. "Sorry, come in." She spoke as the barrier bestowed upon the door lifted and he smirked, as he stepped inside. "Lovely home.." he spoke as his eyes trailed around.
They walked through the house to the kitchen, caroline sat, her face in her hand lifting her cheek bone slightly. Elijah had taken off his suit jacket and loosened his tie as soon enough, something had driven her out of her zoned out state— a waft of a sweet tea smell drifted through the air, the slight heated incense making her scrunch up her nose.
Elijah placed a small china cup in front of her. "Drink. It'll calm your nerves." He murmured as he sat opposite her. She smiled slightly. "So, what's this important business we had to discuss?." She mumbled as she sipped the hot tea.
"My brother, the curse—and well, your safety." He replied as she paused. "Well, for the brother part? He is going to be here in ..like— five days?," she replies, furrowing her brows as his eyebrows furrowed, it was planned.
"The curse is completely covered as well. I have the moonstone, nik is dealing with the sacrifices and the doppelgänger will live by the end of it since I have her covered." She murmured. He blinked. Seems like he underestimated the little witch. But he paused nonetheless. She has everything protected, but she clearly isn't protected, if it weren't rose and Trevor who were desperate and it were another enemy, caroline would be dead.
Elijah narrowed his eyes. "Well, what about the last one?," he asked, as she pressed her lips into a line. Because she might need an actual list by now. Let's start —she was raped, kidnapped more than once, and fed on. Her brows furrowed, maybe a bit of protection might be useful?
He seemed to read the look on her face. "It's settled then."
"What is?," her dark cerulean eyes instantly shifted back up to him.
"Your going to stay with me for the time being. Just — for your safety." He paused, having an alternative thought to this when he noticed the uncertainty in her expression. But then she smiled slightly. "I'll get my things." He nodded. "Very well." He allowed a small twitch of his own lips. As he leaned back against the chair.
His brother wasn't going to take long, then. He furrowed his brows, turning to stare at the long wooden stairs in the Forbes house. Maybe she would stop their reunion from being catastrophic. He smiled slightly at the thought. From what he knew of her so far— Caroline would likely drag klaus by his ear if he tried anything, and that, was a sight he'd admit that he'd like to see.
The blonde was upstairs, clutching onto some garments and other things of the sort, since she apparently is going to have (what she calls a sleepover, and what he calls keeping her safe) so whatever that was with him.
