The Only One (A Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Chapter 13

Niall’s POV

We were sitting on Emma’s couch eating ice cream and watching Bedtime Stories because the two girls love that movie.  I had my arm around Emma, and Liam had his around Grace.  I noticed that neither of the girls has cried for a while, so I think that’s pretty good.  The movie ended and Liam and I nodded.

“Grace? Emma? How would you like it if we took you sledding?” Liam asked with a great big grin on his face.

“But it’s not even snowing. What are you hiding?” Grace asked. Perfect. She was confused as ever.

Liam and I both grabbed two suitcases each. The girl’s mom helped us plan this and helped pack Emma and Grace’s suitcases.  We were going on vacation.

“Niall? Why do you have our suitcases? What is going on here?” Emma pouted and I gave in to her cuteness.

 “Louis! Come out!” I screamed.

“WE’RE GOING ON VACATION! WE’RE GOING ON VACATION!” Louis popped around the corner and started screaming/singing.

“Lou? When did you get here? Wait, a vacation? Really? Yay!!” Grace started dancing and laughing with the rest of the boys that entered the living room.

“Niall!  You are the best!” Emma threw her arms around me and kissed me.

“Well, let’s get to the airport! I want to get to California!” Zayn yelled.

“CALIFORNIA?!” The sisters screamed at the same time.  They fell to the floor laughing like they always do when they say the same thing.

On the plane

Emma’s POV

“Niall, I can’t believe you booked us a trip to California! I always wanted to go there when I was little, and now my dream is coming true!” I hugged him tightly. 

“I always wanted to go there too.  Every time someone mentioned California I would just think of the giant snow hills that I could go down!” Niall laughed. 

I listened to music the rest of the long plane trip and fell asleep.

“Emmmmma.. Emma?  Are you awake? The plane landed.” Niall’s voice broke through my dreams.

“Everyone is already off, so I was waiting for you.” Niall told me as we walked off.

We arrived at the BEAUTIFUL hotel, and checked in to our rooms.  Of course, I was sharing a room with Niall, Harry and Louis were together considering that they were practically brothers, Gracie was with Liam, and Zayn had his own room.

“To California!” We all cheered, drinking shots at the bar.  I started to feel a little dizzy and decided to sit down.  I really didn’t feel good! I ran out of the bar and to our room.  I heard Niall yelling after me but I had to get to our bathroom.  Niall held my hair as I started to throw up.

“Are you alright?” Niall asked me.

I mumbled something, but the moment I sat down on our comfy bed I blacked out.

“Emma, babe you need to wake up.  Your little sister is starting to freak out.” Niall whispered into my ear.  I opened my eyes and looked at the clock.  It was eleven in the morning. 

“I never sleep this late! Niall what happened last night? I can’t remember anything except for getting off the plane and checking in.” I asked really confused.

“Well, we were celebrating getting to California, and you had one too many shots.  The second you touched our bed you were out.” Niall explained and it all came back to me.

“Oh. I remember now.” I said quietly.

“Okay, get dressed and you might want to go see your sister before she hurts herself. Obviously she’s REALLY worried about you.” Niall laughed.

I changed and rushed to Grace and Liam’s room. On the first knock the door swung open and Grace jumped into my arms.

“Emma! Are you okay? You scared me to death last night! What happened?” Grace said as she hugged me tight.  I explained everything to her.  We finally went to get lunch.

“We’ll be back soon Liam! We’re going to get McDonalds!” Grace called as we walked out the door.

We ordered a 20 piece nugget and 2 milkshakes and sat down.

We started eating when two girls walked over and sat down with us.  Their hoods were up so I couldn’t tell who they were.  Wait, I know those shoes anywhere.

“Danielle? Katie!” Grace screamed as the girls took off their hoods.

We hugged for about five minutes before we sat down again.

“How is Auntie? Is she okay?” Grace asked.

“She’s actually great!” Katie smiled.

We finished lunch and skipped back to the hotel.
