The Only One (A Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Chapter 14

“I hope you don’t mind, but we found some people and we brought them home!” I yelled to Harry and Louis.  The girls took their hoods off and the two boys screamed and ran towards their girlfriends.

Louis’ POV

“I missed you so much!” I said as I kissed Danielle.  I never want to be separated from her again.

“I missed you too!” She hugged me tightly.

“So how did you find out where we were?  The fans didn’t find out did they? Oh gosh, I hope not!” I asked her.

“Oh they didn’t.  I asked Emma and Grace’s mom where you were.  She told me you were here and I knew Emma would be at her favorite place, McDonalds! Katie and I did like a sneak attack on them.” Danielle said as she started laughing her adorable laugh.

Grace’s POV

I missed Katie and Danielle a lot! I’m glad they came to California. 

“I just wish Jessica was here.” I sighed.

“Who’s Jessica?” Zayn asked as I screamed. “What?”

“I thought I was alone. That’s all.  Jessica is my best friend.  She moved from London to New York last summer.  I really miss her.” I rested my chin in my hands.

“Oh.  Interesting. Well, I have to go.” Zayn ran off.  I went to take a nap for a couple of hours.

“Should we wake her up?” Liam whispered.

“You guys leave.  I will wake her up myself.” Someone was shaking my shoulder.  I opened my eyes to see Jessica Parker standing in front of me.

“Jess!” I squealed, jumped up, and hugged her tight. 

“Grace! I missed you so much!” She said.

“How are you here?” I asked as we sat down.

“Well, I got a call from Liam telling me how much you missed me and he told me that he had bought tickets for my flight, so here I am!”

“Wait, how did Liam- Zayn! He told Liam.  Well, I am so glad you’re here! How long will you be staying?”

“My parents said I’m old enough to find a place of my own! Can I stay with you in London?”

“Yes!” We started dancing our happy dance.

“We should go to Hollywood!” Jessica screamed and we ran to my rental car.

We took a bunch of pictures at the Hollywood stars.  We even saw a few celebrities!  I drove the convertible back to the hotel and we went and had a sleepover in Jessica’s room.

Emma’s POV

“Liam, where’s Grace?” I asked while sipping my latte.

“You are probably the only one that doesn’t know.  We arranged a flight for Grace’s friend Jessica to stay with us.  She’s staying with Grace in her room back at your place.” He said.

“Oh.  Jessica Parker?” I asked and Liam nodded.   “Oh.”

“What’s wrong?” Liam asked me.

“It’s just, Jessica hates me.  I saw her boyfriend cheating on her at a party, so I told her and she thinks I just wanted her not to be dating him.  She absolutely despises me.  Jessica won’t talk to me at all.”

“Well, that isn’t good.  I have to go.  I need to buy groceries, seeing as no one else will.” Liam said and walked out the door.   I wish Jessica would just forget about it.  That is most likely never going to happen though.  I’m just glad Grace has someone that’s her age to hang out with.  Niall walked over to me.

“Niall, we should go sledding!”

“I was just about to suggest that!” Niall said as we walked back to the room to get changed and we left.

Once we got to the sledding hill I climbed onto my inner tube and went speeding down the hill.  I laughed as I watched Niall fly off of his and get a face full of snow.  We went down several times.  After a while, when I was walking back up the hill with Niall, I tripped and tumbled down the hill, hitting my head on a tree stump.

Niall’s POV

It felt like everything was in slow motion. I watched Emma fall down the hill and hit her head hard.

“Emma! Emma! Are you okay?” I shouted.

“Hospital.” Emma barely whispered the words before passing out.  I drove to the hospital as fast as I could and the nurse took Emma into a room.  I tried to follow but she wouldn’t let me.

“But I need to be with her!” I screamed.

“Are you family?” The nurse asked.

“No, but I’m her boyfriend! Isn’t that enough?” She shook her head and I went and sat down, crying.  I can’t let her be there alone.  I took out my cell phone and called everyone.  Grace came running into the hospital waiting room.

“Where’s Emma? Is she okay?” Grace asked.

“I, I don’t know.  Ask the front desk.  They won’t let me in.  Only family.” I said as Grace asked the lady and went into a room.  I miss my Emma so much! I hope she’s okay!
