Renèe

"Renèe? What happened to your face? Who fucken did this? Chris asked with all kinds of emotion but not all happy.

"Uhm...uhm." I stuttered.

I wanted to tell him but I cant.

"Earth to Renèe. C'mon now who did this to you?" He ask a bit more frustrated with me.

"I dont know." I lied.

"Ree dont fucken like to me, who fucken did this?!"

"I'm not lying I dont know. A robbery went wrong last night. They didnt want to kill me so they beat me up and dont ask if I saw them I didnt, they were wearing ski masks."

"Okay you stay with me till you heal."

"What? No I'm good."

"Bullshit. Go take your shit and meet me at the car in 2 minutes."

"But Chris I have a boyfriend." I said.

As much as I wanted to stay with him I also feared Sean and what he gon do to the both of us.

"Dont tell me bout that nigga. I won't repeat myself, take you shit and meet me out front." He commanded.

"Damn fine." I didnt say another word but ran upstairs to take my phone and book bag.

The ride to my dorm was awfully quiet. I didn't feel like talking cause I had a lot on my mind. I'm happy that I'm gonna stay with him but i dont want to fall for him again, we both in relationships and we dont wanna end 'em. I dont know why I'm not ending my abusive relationship, I'm so stupid. Good thing he dont know where my momma live, oh wait he'll find that out anytime he want, nah they gotta leave before he finds them and before I can warn them about him.

We arrived at the campus and before I got out the car I wanted to have a work with Chris.

"Uhm Christopher?"

He turned and looked at me. "Yeah?"

"When we done here can we go to my mommas house, Brianna misses us." I said hoping he'll agree.

"Yeah definitely. I missed her." He said with a smile on his face.

"Okay let's go." I said getting out the car.

I walked into my dorm and started packing things that I needed. I prayed that Sean dont come walking in here as I'm packing cause if he does come shit gon get messy. As I was packing I received a message and it was Sean. I opened it and it was a picture of my mother's house and another picture of my mother and Brianna at Walmart. I covered my mouth and tears started running down my cheeks. He sent another message and he was like "Still wanna play hide and seek? Game on bitch." I was frozen.

"Het Renèe are you okay?" Chris asked concerned. And I couldn't answer him. "Renèe?" He walked up to me and took my phone out my hand. "Open it." He instructed.

I looked at him and shook my head. "No dont worry about it."

"Dont worry about it? Girl you must be full of shit if you think I'll just let this go."

"As I've said Chris dont worry about it. See these are tears of joy. Brianna won a singing contest that's all." I lied.

"Okay I dont believe that for one bit, you better open this phone Renèe and show me what's making you cry."

"I told you Brianna won a singing contest and these are tears of joy."

"Aight lemme see then." He said calmly.

"What?" I asked dumbfounded.

"You say Brianna won a singing contest and that's making you cry right?"
