Eeveelution Squad Rewritten

Special Chapter 7, Splitting Apart

(Note: I know I skipped special chaps 1-6, I didn't find it necessary to rewrite them as I didn't want to mess up the timeline/backstories, I may go back to write it. And sorry for being away for quite a while, I just finished the big chapter, as in 5, and I wanted a bit of a break, but I'm back! And... This story has been getting quite a bit of support, more than I imagined, and I'm really happy about that and it gives me more motivation to do this, so if you'd like to, I wouldn't mind really any suggestions you may have. The bolds are just some of the key points in this. Anyway, please enjoy! )

    Flare has a peculiar dream which involves him talking to little Eevee in him. They talk about their bond, and how it affects how "Fluffy" looks, acts, and speaks when speaking to Flare.


This also affects how powerful Flareon is, and also how much he can control himself. They talk about Fluffy's purpose, what exactly he is, and more. Flare learns how their bond affects himself and Fluffy, through the power of chocolate! They continue to talk about Fluffy, why he can speak different voices, where he is from, etc. The conversation abruptly ends with Fluffy waking up Flare...


"Ow!" Flare and Speed shout as they hit heads...

Meanwhile...

Es: "Wakey, wakey. Sleep well?" Sylveon yawns and replies groggily, S: "I guess..." Es: "Hm, well, do you think you could do me a favor?" She tilts her head. S: "Depends." Es: "Please?" S: "What if I don't wanna." Es: "Really?" S: "Fine... What is it?" Es: "Well... I want you to hang out with Umbreon, and ask him what he really thinks about me?" S: "Why can't you?" Es: "He just replies with, "You're annoying." Which is not the answer I want." 

S: "Well, what answer do you want?" She says as she pouts. Es: "An actual one." S: "And that isn't one?" She stares at her. S: "Whatever, I don't really want to hang out with him today... Ooh! I have an idea...!" Es: "And that i-?" S: "Mana! Come out!" Mana the Manaphy slowly peers out from out the bag, eventually exiting it and flying over to Sylveon. Es: "You have a mythical pokemon in your bag?" S: "Oh... Uh, yeah." Es: "Okay... Whatever, what is your plan? Sylveon, completing ignoring the question, S: "Mana! Do the swappy thingy." Es: "Swappy thingy...?" 
A large flash is emitted around the room.


Downstairs...

U2.0: "C'mon Yellow! Let's train!" Speed slowly looks over to his left and sees Gai standing over him, he then places his head back on the table. U2.0: "C'mon man!" J: "Not today..." U2.0: "Oh... I see how it is..." J: "It's nothing person-." U2.0: "You want to hang out with all the ladies." He says smirking and giving him a few nudges. J: "Not funny." U2.0: "Well, whatever. I want to ask you something about that gloomy Umbreon."

He turns to look at him. J: "I'm listening..." U2.0: "What's with all the tough love, especially from his part...?" He sighs. J: "Well... We had brother-like bond before that day... It broke like a twig because of one simple lie..." U2.0: "A lie? You should probably talk with him about it, maybe he'll forgive you." J: "Easier said than done." U2.0: "How co-." J: "Watch." Conveniently, Black happens to walk past them. J: "Hey Black." U: "What?" He asked not even bothering to look at him. J: "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner..." U: "Your fault." U2.0: "Hey! Don't treat my bro like that!" U: "What's it to you?" U2.0: "You need to chill out!" Jolteon walks up to him and puts his paw on his shoulder. J: "That's enough." Gai sits there with distain.

"S": "Excuse me. Am I interrupting?" U2.0: "Nope! Just in time! Tell him to stop treating Yellow like dirt, although he apologized." She ignores him and wraps her ribbon around Black's arm. "S": "Hey, can we go hang out?" U: "Sure, where to?" "S": "Hm, how about where we usually go?" U2.0: "Hold on... Where you usually go?!" They both head out the door as Jolteon holds Gai back. U2.0: "I... won't... let... you... date... my... sister...!" He shouts as struggling to break free. J: "C'mon man, chill out, it's just a friendly thing." U2.0: "Oh yeah? And how do you know that?" J: "Well, they've already left anyway, so not much you can d-." "Es": Hello~! U2.0: "Oh, hi Pearl." J: "Wha... Really?" "Es": "Anyway~. Jolty- I mean, Jolteon, can you come grocery shopping with me?" He looks at her suspiciously, but says, J: "Um... Sure?" "Es": "Great! No time to waste!" She grabs him by the arm and runs off. J: "Hey... No rushing." U2.0: "Oh... Have fun man..."

Axel and Sunshine are playing with each other, as they run in front of Gai. U2.0: "Hm? Oh! How you doing kiddos?" Se: "Good! Say, Gai, is it true big brother Speed trained you?" U2.0: "Yup, about a month to be exact. No big deal..." He says while dusting off his shoulders. Se: "That's so cool! Do you think you could train me like he did?" U2.0: "Sure, why not? But, I'll train you less intensely. Let's do it after lunch." Se: "Alright!" Ee: "What about me?" U2.0: "You and Shiny are friends, right?" Ee: "Shiny? Is it Axel?" U2.0: "Yup, you can be his motivator." Ee: "Aye!"

Just then, Flareon and Leafeon both walk out into the room. U2.0: "Oh, hello there!" L: "Morning." U2.0: "You okay...?" He asks while looking at Flare. F: "Oh um... I'm fine, just hit my head." U2.0: "Alright... If you say so..."

Meanwhile...

Umbreon sighs while sitting down at the fountain.  "Silvia" then walks over to him and hands him a drink. He tilts his head. She scratches the back of her head and says, "S":"I thought I would get you a drink." U: "You got me a drink?" He says while collecting it from her. "S": "Yeah well... I have to do it every once in a while." U: "You've never have done it." He says while looking at the ground.

"S": "Hey... You okay?" U: "I'm fine..." "S": "Hm... Oh, I just remember something. It was surprising to know that you knew Speed as kids. What is that about?" Umbreon looks at her. U: "You really want to know?" "S": "If you feel comfortable saying it." Black sighs, and looks back down at the ground. U: "It's a little hard to explain... But... Back then, we were close friends. He kind of reminded me of my brother, in the sense that he would always cheer me up whenever I felt down. We even worked in the same place, he was part-time, and I was full-time, but that's besides the point. Being around him always made me feel better, I always waited for him, or hoped for him to visit me. Maybe he reminded me of my deceased brother..." "S": "Wow... But... why does it seem like you hate him?" U: "Well... Something happened one day... I finally caught onto his lie, his lie about knowing how to fight, and that he was a rescuer. I told him that I hated him, and I never wanted to see him again. And he took it to heart, he quit his job, and tried to distance himself from me. As well, as the day he won his tournament, I snapped at him. I definitely ruined it for him, but I tried apologizing, but he kept running away!"

"Siliva" sat there for a few seconds thinking about what to say. After a bit of silence, "S": "I'm sorry to hear that... But, why did you yell at him today?" U: "Well, as much as it pleases me that he was by me this whole time. He still lied to me... Again! The whole time... He was here, but didn't tell me..." "S": "He was probably scared to approach you." U: "Even then, he should of known I had forgiven him a long time ago... Sorry for bringing this up, we're supposed to be having fun..." She sets her gaze on his eyes. "S": "Sorry, I shouldn't of asked." U: "No, no. It's fine, I feel better anyway." "S": "I also have one more thing to ask... What do you think about Pearl? I want your most honest answer."

Black sits there for a few seconds, maybe even a minute, deciding what to say and think. Then, he speaks, U: "Honestly, I don't know what to think about her. She seems nice around others, but I hate what she did for my attention. However, I still find her cute, not as cute as you, of course. Though she's a pain, it doesn't mean I don't care about her... Even when she drives me crazy, I still value our friendship, but I just don't see her a lover, after this long game of "cat and mouse" she decided to play with me." "Silvia" seemed satisfied and dissatisfied by his answer. "S": "I-I see..." U: "Say... You're acting a lot like Pearl today." "S": "H-Huh? O-Oh, w-well... I'm playing a game where I have to mimic her to the best of my ability!" U: "That's cute, but are you sure it's just a game? You're acting very mature." "S": "U-Um..." U: "In a good way, of course." She looks at him. "S": "I'm sorry... For all the stupid things I did to you. But... I think it would still be nice if you smiled more." He sits for a few seconds. U: "Pearl?" "S": "I-I was just repeating what she said last night!" U: "Huh, thought so."

She blushes a little after the little conflict is over with. He looks at her, noticing her "cute" blushing face. U: "You know, you're really cute when you blush." "Silvia" sits there for a bit, thinking about what he said, after a bit of time, he makes her start to cry a little, being noticed by Black, he says, U: "Are you okay?' "S": "I-I'm fine..." U: "You don't look it..." He hugs her. U: "Please don't cry." She hugs him back. He eventually breaks the hug and looks at her. U: "Feeling better?" "S": "Mhm." U: "Here." He wipes the tears off her face, which makes her blush a little more. U: "What happened? You got so emotional all of a sudden..." "S": "Sorry..." U: "It's fine, I was just wondering..." "Silvia" noticed that Black was getting really close to her, and responded accordingly, "S": "Um... You're getting too close..." U: S-Sorry." He says while looking away.

She stands up and starts to walk away, but stops. "S": "Sorry about earlier but... Where to next?" U: "Maybe a place that'll cheer you up?" "S": "Like where?" U: "I'm sure there's something in this place that'll cheer you up, it's pretty big anyway." "S": "Think so?" U: "Positive." They start to walk, as "Silvia" wraps her ribbon around Black's arm. U: "You know how you wanted me to smile more, right? I think you should do the same as you always do, it feels better to you see you cheerful and happy." She smiles weakly not really trying. "S": "Like this...?" U: "C'mon, I'm sure you can do better than that." She puts on a big cheerful smile. "S": "How about... Now?" U: "Much better. Anyway I think I have an idea of where to go." He walks off to this undisclosed location. She follows after him, but she begins to think about this day has gone so far, and what it means to her, and maybe she needs to come to terms with reality.


Meanwhile...

"Es": "Mmh~." She says while eating. "Es": "You should try one, it tastes really good!" She notices that Speed is looking off somewhere else. She waves in front of his face. "Es": "Hello? Gaia (I think) to Spee-." J: "Yeah, yeah. I'm listening. I just don't understand why we aren't grocery shopping yet." "Es": "It can waittttt~. We have all day to do it." J: "We're supposed to be shopping, not hanging out." She pouts. "Es": "C'monnnn. Stop being such a grouch." He looks at her suspiciously. J: "Hmm, you're more cheerful than usual..." "Es": "Well, we're on vacation after all." J: "Sure, whatever. Anyway, you almost done yet?" "Es": "Yup! All done! Let's go somewhere else!" J: "Somewhere el-?" He gets cut off by "Pearl" running off, and he follows after her.

 She stops in front of an arch, eventually Speed catches up to "Pearl". J: "The park?" "Es": "Yup! Let's go in!" She takes a few steps, she turns around and notices that Jolteon isn't following her. "Es": "You not coming?" He shakes his head. J: "Let's just get grocery shopping over with." "Es": "B-But..." Suddenly, Jolteon walks over to "Pearl" and lightly grabs her cheek. She blushes a little from his sudden gesture.

And finally I'm done! (Only took me a month...) Anyway... As you may or may not have noticed, this chapter is 2k words, instead of 1k, which is what I'm going to try to shoot for from now on. Anyway, have a great day!
