Special Chapter 8, Together Alone?

I was counting the chapters until I had to write this chapter, and now we are here. So, I guess we might as well jump right in. Not that I don't like this chapter, I think it's just rather unnecessary. 

 The Next Day...

Vaporeon and Sylveon happily splash around in the water. Flinging water at each other, Vaporeon being at an obvious advantage. While they play in the water, Axel slowly and meticulously constructs a sand castle. He stands back to admire his work, being pretty delighted by it. However, that thought it quickly cut short as a large wave of water splashes on him. Sunshine giggles at him while putting down a bucket. She then quickly runs away, and Axel chases after her. "Get back here!" 

Back into the pond, Leaf talks with Flare, trying her hardest to convince him to come in. "Come on Flare! Don't be scared, it's just a bit of water." "That's the reason I'm scared! The land is quite perfectly where I ca-" he gets cut off by water splashing all over him. He shakes off the water, causing his fur to puff up. "SIS!" "Hehe, whoops." Leaf blushes while looking on.   

Meanwhile...

"Put it there." "Done." Bolt places down something. "Hey Pearl, where's that cute little snow girl?" Questions Ms. Mollie. "Yeah, where's female Frank?" "Brian!" "Very funny..." "She said she wanted to stay back at the house, that's all." Replies Pearl. "I see, ice types are very sensitive to heat after all." "You're sensitive to heat too." "Don't matter." "Sometimes, I don't understand what I saw in you..." "Didn't stop you from marrying him." Teases Rin. "Well.... I... Sis! Stop teasing me!" "What? I didn't even tease you." Pearl giggles as she watches their childish antics. "I'm going to go check on Glacy now." Says Speed as he walks away. "You call her Glacy now?" " I guess." "Hey Speed?" "Yeah?" He says as he stops. "Try not to get hit again..." She says concerningly. "I won't... Hopefully..." While he walks away, Pearl looks at Black, and sighs while looking down.

In the house...

Lazuli peacefully reads a small pink book. Just then, Jolteon walks in and engages in a conversation. "Hi." "Hey." She responds. "Why are you not going out there?" "I don't wanna." "You sure love books, huh?" "Yeah, so what?" She looks at him with a side eye. "Um, nothing." He then sits down next to her and looks out the window. "Hm, this brings back memories... Hey, you remember when we were forced to be in the treehouse together?" She quickly blushes after hearing that. "Soooo. Let me see what you're reading." He quickly snatches the book and turns away from her. "H-Hey!" She reaches over her shoulder to grab it back. "Romance huh...? I remember you read this bac-. Hey! I was reading that." "Don't take my books!" She taps him on the head with the book. "Ow. Okay, okay." She turns away and blushes while she continues reading.

2.25 months earlier... (Why did I put a .25, idk.)

"All done." Pearl announces as she sets the backpack on Sunshine. "Is everyone else ready?" "More than! Let's go!" Exclaims Silvia. Leaf notices Glaceon doesn't have a bag on, and questions her. "Sis, where's your backpack?" "I'm not going..." "Party pooper." "Shut up Sylveon." "What's wrong, the sun too hot to handle?" "Be quiet before I punch you." "Woah chill out, I'm not Speed." Lazuli gets progressively annoyed. "Okay, okay. Calm down you two." Pearl says, trying to deescalate the situation. "Listen, Lazuli will stay behind... And, Speed will look after her!" "What?!" They both shout in exclamation. "Bye! Have fun!" They all leave. "Wha..." "Oh great, now I'm stuck with you. Just leave me alone, unless you're trying to stir some trouble." "Wait." "Ugh. What do you want?" "It looks like it's just the two of us." She shoots a small ice ball at his face. "Ow." She rolls her eyes and walks upstairs. "Ugh, this is so stupid. I have to be here, with this stupid idiot, because they wanted to go on the stupid trip, now I have to deal with this. He better not bother me."

In her room...............

She sighs. "Oh well... Anyway... Now I can get back to my story!" She grabs her book and sits down at her desk. "Now then... Where did I leave off...?" Just before she starts reading, to her annoyance, Jolteon knocks on the door. She rolls her eyes and groans. "Ugh, what do you want? And, didn't I tell you to leave me alone?" She says as she opens the door. "I just checked the fridge, and there's no more food left. So... Do you wanna go out for lunch?" He says ignoring her second question. "N-... Y-... Fine! Anywhere is fine, just leave me alone until then." "Okay! So, we'll go out for lunch in the afternoon." "Yeah, yeah. Whatever." She quickly walks back inside and closes the door. She going to walks back to her desk, but he decides to knock again. "AH!" She forcefully swings the door open.

 "WHATTTTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!?" She screams at him. "If you need anything, just let me know." He says calmly. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever, you don't have to be so overprotective all of a sudden." "Of course, I am doing this for someone I love-." He quickly stops himself after realizing what he's about to say. "Love? Who?" "Uh, I have no idea what you're talking about." "Don't you play dumb with me!" "What?" "What do you mean what?!" "Look missy, just calm it." "Missy...?" Who does he think he is calling me missy? "You know, you've been really annoying today..." She says in an aggressive tone. "Same for you." She promptly stares at him. Then starts to walk behind him. "What are you doing?" She suddenly quickly hugs him. "?" Then she probably breaks her back, and his neck, with a suplex. But we'll pretend she's very flexible, and he has a neck of steel. "Ow... Jeez, you're as nasty as usual." "Come again.....?" She says while standing over him. "U-Uh... N-Nothing..." He quickly stands up and starts to walk away. "Okay... I'll leave you alone now, I'll be back at lunchtime..." "You better!" She shouts at him as he walks out. "Ugh geez, I thought he'd never leave... Now, I can finally get back to my book." She goes over to grab the book, but promptly places it back down as she remembers something. "Love huh...? I wonder who he's referring too..." She quickly shakes her head. "Ah, whatever. Even if he is really referring to me, I would never like him back...!" "Idiot..." She mumbles under her breath.

Some time later...

 Lazuli flips the last page of her book, and slides it next to the other completed books. "Oh, looks like I read all of them." "Glaceon, it's almost noon. Let's go eat lunch now." She starts to her door. "Coming." "You hungry?" "A bit." "Alright, let's go then." "Okay." They then both walk to the front door. 

A few minutes later...

They walk side-by-side silently, looking at the Pokemon and the scenery they pass. "Hey..." "Yeah?" "I'm... I'm sorry about earlier." "Really?" "Is it that weird?!" "S-Sorry... So... How do you feel?" "Great..." (I wonder if she said it sarcastically, or if she meant it but accidently said it, or something.) "?" "Let's just keep going." "So..." "What?" "You ever been out with someone?" "Yeah, I've been out with my sister." "I don't think you know what I meant." "Well what do you mean?" "Do you even know what a 'date' is?" "Like time and day?" "Well... Yeah, but that's not what I meant." "Oh. Sorry." "It's okay, I didn't know until I was 13." "And have you gone on a 'date?'" "Yeah, I was dragged into one, before I knew it... I... I don't know, I just remembered this a few minutes ago." "Uh huh... Well, you still haven't explained what exactly that is." "Well it's kind of when a boy and girl both go somewhere to hang out." "Isn't that just hanging out?" "Well, the reason they hang out is not for friendly reasons, it's because they have feelings for each other." "Oh..." She looks at him, and blushes a little.

"Just so you know, this is not what this is!" "I know, I didn't say it was. Anyway, don't you read romance books? Why don't you know what a date is?" "Um... I don't know. I guess they just never used that word." "They don't use the word date in romance novels...?" "Listen, this is not up for discussion." "Okay, okay. Sorry." "Anyway, who were on that 'date' with?" "Now that I think of it... She was prett- no, super cute. She often called me her boyfriend, though I never thought of her as my girlfriend." "Why not? She's a girl, and I assume she's your friend." "I don't think you know what that is either." "I know what a girl friend is." "Well, not a girl friend, a girlfriend." "Listen, I'm not stupid, and you can't trick me otherwise." "Well..." "What was that?" "Nothing..." "Whatever, so what is 'girlfriend' if it's not a friend that is a girl." "Well, let's say I would say 'I love you', how would you respond?" "I hate you." "Exactly, but if you were my 'girlfriend' then you would say you love me back." "Well I would never say that back." "Anyway, as much as I hate to admit it, she was too cute for me. Sometimes I enjoyed getting hugged by he-." He then prompts to punch himself in the face. Glaceon then stands there, dumbfounded.
