Later...

Jolteon and Glaceon walk through rows of people. Lazuli notices how each Pokemon is with another Pokemon. She then looks at Speed. "Hey." "Yeah?" "Where are we going to eat anyway?" "Oh. You'll see, it's my favorite place."  They then walk into the shop thing. "Hey Pops, been a while." "Welcome. You came here yesterday however." "Eh, time flies?" Pops lets out a little chuckle. "Anyway, what would you like to order?" "The usual." "One rice and curry, got it. And for your...?" "Uh, she's um... A... Friend?" "Ah, I see. A 'friend?' Anyway, what would you like to order young lady?" "Hmm... I'll take... Fried rice." "Got it, and any drinks?" "Water." "I'll take some lemonade." "Very well." 

"So, you come here all the time?" "Pretty much, though, 3 months ago, I haven't been here for 2 years. But, I've known this place since I was 10, my friend told me about it." "You have friends?" "Hey, what the hell?" "Sorry sorry, but you seem like a lonely kind of guy." She says while giggling a little bit. "Well, news flash, I'm not." "Where are you from anyway?" "Greenhills." "Eh?" "Greenhills Forest? You know, the forest we just went through..." "Oh, that's it's name?" "Yup, so my turn, where are you from?" She sighs and looks down at the table, being reminded of all she went through. "I... Don't want to talk about it." "Why not?" "I said I don't want to!" "Okay, okay. Sorry..." She scoffs. Why does he think I have to answer him?  She focuses her vision at a window near-by and sees two couples. She then looks back over at Jolteon and begins to think. "..." He notices her looking at him, and turns to look at her. "Is something wrong...?" "U-Um... N-Nothing... I was just thinking about... s-something!" Then some food gets places in front of them. And Jolteon continues to look at her, confused.

Later...

"Wow, that was good!" "Told ya." "So, are we going back to the treehouse?" "Well, I was going to. But, I heard you ran out of books, so, maybe we can swing by the bookstore and get some? And, if you want to, we can get some ice cream on the way back?" Her face lights up. "Really?" "Um, you seem excited, but, sure?" "I mean, are you sure about this?" "Yes?" "Alright, no time to waste!" She grabs his paw and practically drags him. "Wait up!"

Later...

Glaceon scans the books, looking for something that may interest her. "Ugh, I've already read all these... Are there really no new ones?" "?" Jolteon finds a peculiar comic book. "Ooh, I didn't know they made a comic about this game!" He says as he quickly grabs it. "Hmm? What game?" He quickly turns around to show her. "Super Mecha Warrior Z!" "Oh... Lame." "Wha-? It's not lame! It's awesome!" "Sure, whatever." "I'm not the one who likes to read romance novels!" "Whatever, I'm just going to go check over there." Glaceon walks away, and Jolteon sits there, butt hurt.

Even more later...

"Here you go." The book store worker, gives Lazuli her books. "Thank you~." "That a lot of books..." "Hey, you're lucky I don't buy my normal amount of double." "Whatever." "So, are we going to get ice cream now?" "Oh, yeah. Sure." "Yay!" "You know, I've never seen you so happy." "Are you saying I shouldn't be happy?!" "No, no. Of course not, I'm just glad to see you happy." She blushes a little. "Really?" "Ahm... Anyway, let's go get that ice cream..." He walks off. He likes to see me happy? Maybe he'll like me more if I'm more ha- Uh... Not like I care or anything... She quickly runs after Jolteon.

(Hah, it's soon this time.) Soon...

"Mmmh~!"Glaceon a bite of her ice cream. "You're uh... Really enjoying that ice cream. Huh?" "Yueah... Su waet?" "Uh, nothing. So, you have any plans for today?" "Hmm... Probably go back home, stay in my room aaand... Read books." "Do you ever get tired of reading?" "Nope." "Well, for me. It's pretty boring, besides comic books I guess." "No it's not!" She says shouting. "No need to get angry, I can have my own opinion, can't I?" "Whatever..." "Hm... Say, have you ever had anyone have a crush on you?" "Well... Yeah, there is one mon... However, he's so creepy, I'm so glad we didn't run into him today." "Let me guess, a flirter?" "Yes, and a weirdo. I'd say you're a bit better than him." "Only a bit?" "It's better than nothing." "Fair enough." "How about you answer the same question?" "You already know the answer, we were talking about it earlier." "Ah, right..." She looks around, then she looks back at him. "Hey." "What?" "I want more ice cream." "H-Huh?" 

Later...

"Finally... Home sweet home." Glaceon says as she walks into the treehouse. "Well, we would of been here sooner if you didn't ask for 5 more ice cream cones..." She stops abruptly and gives him a side eye. "Um... Don't give me that look." She walks towards him and stops right in front of me. "Hey, wait... Are you goi-." He gets cut off by her hugging him. After a few seconds she backs off. "Thanks..." She says as she starts to walk away. "Did you just hug me?" "I'll... Be in my room." "Uh, okay...?" 

In her room...

"I wonder if sis is having fun at the beach." Her thought is quickly interrupted by knocking. She opens the door, and lo and behold, it's Speed. "What?" "I um... Well I... I just kind of want some company... So..." "You should of gone with the others.. But... I'll let you come in, if you don't pull anything on me." "Hey! I'm not a creep!" She giggles a little. "Just messing with you." Eventually, Speed and Lazuli both settle into their positions. Speed being on the ground, using a pillow as a back rest, playing on his ds. And, Lazuli is reading a book on a nearby table. "So... Whatcha reading?" "A book." "Well, I know it's a book." "Well you thought right." "Looking at the cover, it seems like a romance story... Is it? Vaporeon reads the same kinds of books." She glances at him quickly, and then goes back to reading, opting not to say anything. "No reply...?" "Listen, just be quiet, I'm trying to read my book, unless you want to get kicked out." "Back at the restaurant..." "Didn't I just tell you to be q-." "You didn't want to answer were your birthplace was... Is it because you dislike your birthplace?" "No... I don't hate it..." She says slowing while looking down at the table. "Then why don't you want to talk about it?" "I have my reasons..." "And that is? C'mon, you can be honest with me?" "Why should I tell you?" "Well... Um..." They both sit in silence for a few seconds. "Look... You seem really upset when I mention it, and I just can't help but wonder why." "Fine!" She hisses at him. She takes a deep breath and calms down a bit. "Well... I come from Terra Town... Everytime I think of that place, I think of that old man." "Old man? Like as in your dad?" "That old man kicked us out of the house as soon as mom passed." "I know it's rather personal, but what happened to your mom?" "I just told you..." "No, I mean like, how did she pass?" "Well... I don't really know... Me and Leafy one day came back from playing, and we came into the house, and we saw her lying in a small red puddle on the ground. With a thin red line also lined across her neck... She stopped breathing when we found her.

Speed stays silent for a little while, figuring out what to say. "She was... Let's just say there was someone else with you in that house..." "The only ones in the house, was me, Leafy, and that old man." "I don't think you understand... Was there anything lost by then?" "No... Everything was in it's place." "I see... Then it means that they didn't want to take any treasure, they wanted to take your family..." "What do you mean?" "It may scare you. But, I believe there was someone that... Didn't want your family to... live... anymore?" "T-That can't be true! If there really was someone... That old man would of protected us, not kicked us out!" "I know it's a lot to take in, but... You need to understand that-." "No! You're the one that needs to understand!" She starts to cry a little. "Dad was always ignoring us, but, he was never mean to us! Well... That was until what happened to mom." She says through tears and sobs. "I... I... I... I don't know what happened to mom... And that old man... As soon as we got there, h-he hit me... He said... If we don't leave... He said he would burn us alive... In the end... W-We still don't know what happened to mom..." She says while fighting through more tears. "... Listen... I know it was horrible... But... I'm sure he had his reason." "No he didn't... I'm sure he never even liked us..." She says while calming down a little bit. "Glaceon... At least you got to see them go..." "W-What do you mean?"

"Well, I'd rather not to go into details, but... I've never known what it's like to have parents... I've never met them. Neither do I know who they are." "So... They left you too?""Well... Maybe... Maybe not... I really don't know... I've spent 11 years trying to look for them, just to find out they were long gone..." After a long pause, he starts to speak again. "You're right, I really don't understand all of this... But... I do understand what it is like to love someone you are close to. There was this someone, despite us not even being friends, we constantly found ourselves together in situations of life and death...  I finally earned their trust and we became friends... but I would only lose them a few days later all because of my indecision. It just flashed in my head a few minutes ago, it was pretty scary..." He continues after a bit of a pause. "Life is unfair, isn't it?" Lazuli looks down at the floor. "..." "But hey, at least you still have your sister with you." "That's true..." "Then there are still good things that you should be appreciative of." "Maybe you're right." She wipes off some of the tears off her face, and after a few seconds of hesitation. Speed steps up to Lazuli and hugs her. "?" She blushes a little bit. "Sorry... Um, I thought you needed a hug." "No, no. It's fine." "Huh, so. You feeling better?" "I guess..." 

"Anyway, this may be a bit off topic, but, I know what you went through has been terrible. But, you were safe most of the time, right? You didn't have to face many, or any, monsters?" "No... Only if I went too far." "Good for you, wish I could say the same. I had to face everyday, everyday it was fight or flight. I was never easy, nor safe." "Oh my..." "I used to think that all the mystical pokemon, or whatever we call ourselves, in this world were evil from the start. They would still show sympathy, though, only to those who were on their side. For most of them, it's kill or be killed. For me, I mostly ran, I'd know because I'm also one of those 'wild' pokemon." "You mean... You're one of those monsters?" "Yes, at least, I believe I am. However, things change after I met a certain pokemon." "That would be your best friend?" "Yup, he might seem stupid, but he's really a genius. I guess you can say he's just like his dad." "Um, can you move back to the topic?" "Oh, right. He had shown me that not all pokemon are bad, there are good and bad pokemon. Moreover, he taught me that those Wild Pokemon do what they do to survive. They don't understand that doing what they do, is wrong. 

Along that note, the weak die, and the strong survive. As long as I keep fighting, I'm no better than one of them. But, I've fought a lot of wild pokemon, but they nothing compared to berzerk pokemon." "Is there a difference?" "Yup, quite a bit one, they won't go down as easy. More importantly, they lost all that them, themselves..." "What do you mean?" "Hard to tell." "Oh... Well, I don't understand much of anything you said... But... Is that the reason you're slacking off most of the time?" "Heh... Maybe... Hey, you know, it's really fun hanging out with you." "Are you serious? Just because we're talking doesn't mean were buddy, buddy." "Today is an exception." "You're an idiot... But, I suppose you're not as bad as I thought you were." "Yes... If I can get along with her, no doubt I can do it with Leaf-." He mumbles to himself. "Uh, what are you talking about?" She cuts him off. "Uh... Nothing...! Anyway, about your dad... If he really is as bad as you say, I'll be sure to punch him in the gut if I ever see him." "Seriously...?" "Seriously... What was your dad's job anyway?" "Explorer, I think...?" "Hmm..."

Glaceon lets out a little yawn. "Tired of crying?" She growls a little and hits him with her elbow lightly. "Ow." He says while laughing a little. "Why don't you take a nap? Don't worry I won't be weird about it." "... Okay... Hey, Jolteon...?" "Yeah?" "About that game of yours, I guess it's kind of awesome." "You betcha!" "Alright c'mon, let's put you to bed." He says while laying her down. "If you want, I can leave the room and-." "No, no. Please stay..." "If that's what you want... Sleep tight." "Mhm..." He then lays down on the ground, and yawns and stretches. "I guess I need a nap too..." She look at him, and looks back at the ceiling. "Hm... What kind of story is this?" She turns quickly to him reading one of her books. "H-Hey! You can't read that!" She quickly snaches it from him and puts it on her nightstand. "Awe, okay. Sweet dreams." "Huh?" "Sorry, it's something I normally say to Eevee before bed." "No, no. It's nice." "I hope the others are having fun." "Me too." She then turns to her side and closes her eyes...

A few hours later...

Jolteon and Glaceon find themselves in an... awkward position... Glaceon is essentially hugging Jolteon, with one of her arms around him, and both of her head flap things on him. As well as that, she has her head on his shoulder. It looks a bit intentional but whatever. Suddenly, Leafeon flings the door open. "Sis, I'm back... H-Huh?!" Glaceon slowly yearns her eyes open, and rubs them. She looks down and sees she is on top of Jolteon. "?!" She also blushes a lot. "kyAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Jolteon also opens his eyes and sits up. "Wh-What...?" "What do you think you're doing?!" "Was I doing somethi-?" She cuts him off by puching him in the face. "Ouch! What did I do?!" "I-I got to go now!" "Leafeon? Wait!" "Jolteon!!!"

Back to the present...

Glaceon sighs, while walking into the bathroom. "Even though I won't be as good as my sister, I hope I can, at least, be who I once was." A mysterious figure appears behind her. "Sup." "AH! What are you doing in here?! Ever heard of a thing called knocking?!" "Shoulda locked the door. Besides, it's not like I'm a boy." "That doesn't give you a valid reason to enter! What if you do have something in between..." "In between... What?"  "Never mind... Forget about it." "Uh... Okay...? Anyway, what were you mumbling about before I came in here?" "Nothing..." "Alright, let's head to the beach! It's gonna be lunchtime soon!" "But..." "C'mon, if you can't stand the heat, just chill out in a cooler or something." "That'll work?" "Sure it does, it just might make you wet-." "Wet? You two still pee yourselves...? Gross." Jolteon says as he bursts into the room. They both stare at him. "Alright, so now I have 3 reasons to punch you in the face." Glaceon responds. "?" "One, you were eavesdropping on us, two, you entered an occupied bathroom without knocking, and three you insulted us. So, give me one good reason why I shouldn't punch you right now." Glaceon continues. "Uh... You're better than this?" "Shut up." They then both say. You know, I said I would stop doing this, but... You kind of deserve it right now. So, for real this time... One last punch! Sylvia and Lazuli nod at each other, then proceed to punch Jolteon in the face. "Ow!"
