the rest of the evening was filled with joyful laughs and puckish banter. everyone slowly got to know each other, new friendships quickly blossoming.
as the hours went on, the food and drinks disappeared. nearing the end of yara's birthday celebration, everyone eventually exited the restaurant after taehyung paid the bill, as a sweet favour to yara.
everyone filed out of the restaurant's exit one by one, much like when they entered. a sudden cold breeze flew by, making cora shiver and snake her arms around her torso in a hug.
nobody seemed to take notice, since everyone was now too immersed in taking photos with each other to capture the memories.

the tall boy stood with his hands in his jean pockets, staring at the shivering cora. a feeling of solace overtook him as his lips slowly turned into a slight frown.
"h-huh?" she shakily questioned as she rubbed her frigid legs to rid the goosebumps.
"i said come here." jeongguk spoke again, now lifting the sides of his denim jacket, "it's much warmer under here, i promise."
cora gazed at him vacantly, a little confused before feeling another gust of wind. hastily, she waddled over to him, her arms still embraced around her stomach.
as the distance closed, her arms transferred their embrace from her to him as she engulfed his warm torso. a content sigh relieved from her lips as she felt the heat from his body on hers.
jeongguk quickly wrapped her up with his jacket so they were now like a human burrito. he heard a soft giggle come from cora as he returned the embrace, making her 10x warmer.
"my human heater." cora hummed, snuggling her head into his chest, her hands holding each other as she held onto him.
a smile appeared on jeongguk's face. the serenity of the situation made him feel happy. openly embracing his biggest wish in a public space with her cosily squished up against his body, no problems whatsoever.
"you know..." he started, "i would totally get it if people thought we were a couple."
cora's eyes opened as she turned her head to look the boy in his eyes, "friends can hug too though."
