Y/n's POV

After I had dropped off my things at my house, Albert Moriarty took me to his mansion. He opened the gates and then the door to the mansion. When we entered, there were many men standing there waiting for us. I counted five men, but I did not see Moran.

"Is that little Y/n?" Jack recognized me instantly.

For as long as I been a nurse, Jack had always been there until he retired. He walked towards me and gave me a big hug.

"Still doing great things aren't you?" he asked. "I try" I replied to him with a smile. "I see you're quite popular Miss L/n" A blond haired man with red eyes spoke up. "I guess so...everyone seems to know my name. I'm unsure if it is because you gentlemen have done your research or if you guys have been following my every move" I replied to him.

A few eyebrows raised when I said that.

"I like her a lot" another blond man spoke.

He was shorter with blue eyes and I noticed that he had a mole under his eye.

"I'm William Moriarty, one of Albert's younger brothers, Louis is right there" the first man introduced himself. "I'm Bonde" the blue eyed one said. "oh...I'm Fred" the youngest man spoke for the first time.

He looked really young and he had dark hair and eyes.

"Alrighty, what's going on here?" I heard a voice that was a little too familiar.

I turned around and saw Sebastian Moran standing in the hall. When his eyes laid on me, he was speechless for a moment.

"Y/n...it's so good to see y-" "Take off your shirt" I cut him off. "What?" he asked. "Do not make me repeat myself" I said without hesitation.

He removed his shirt and I scanned his body.

"Turn around" I said.

I saw his back and every single scar was from his time in the military. I only knew that because I was the one who stitched him up, stopped his bleeding and took bullets out of his body.

"You're convinced it's me?" he asked while putting his shirt back on. "I'm convinced now" I said.

Moran got closer to me and rest his hand on my cheek.

"I've missed you greatly Y/n" his eyes softened when he looked down at me. "Remove your hand before I remove all the bones in your hand" I said to him. "You didn't miss me Y/n?" he asked, a little hurt.

I pushed his hand away and took a step back.

"I never said that. I mourned your lost and told myself I'd never be that close with a soldier again because it hurt so much. You lied to me Moran, for years I thought you were dead and I still carried on and kept my feelings bottled up only to find you here. I'm a lot more disappointed than shocked" I explained to him. "Y/n-" "Don't even, you can't make it up to me now, I'm only here because I'm actually considering helping these men even if you weren't here I'd help, so don't think you influenced my choice" I said.

I turned to the Moriarty brothers.

"So what do you need my help with?" I asked. "Maybe we could talk about this at a later time...you should really..." Albert broke eye contact with me and stopped mid-sentence.

Everyone looked really nervous and I saw the pitiful looks they were giving Sebastian.

"Since you're already here and we don't want to waste your time, let's explain things to her" Louis broke the silence. "Yes! As you may know, many middle and lower class men have been found dead in London. We were wondering if you can maybe come up with a cause of death and help us prevent these deaths from happening again" William explained to me.

I read about the deaths in the newspaper, but I never looked deep into it.

"I can try, however I can't make any promises since this isn't my line of work. I will try my hardest to come to a decent conclusion surrounding these deaths" I said to William. "That's great, when would you like to start?" he asked. "Whenever you're ready, I'm pretty sure you know where to find me" I said to him.

Albert opened the door for me and opened the door to a carriage before giving me his hand.

"Your the one who planned this, didn't you?" I asked Moriarty. "How'd you know?" he asked. "I've heard your name before Mister Moriarty, you're not a stranger to me even if I've never worked with you" I said. "A lot of soldiers look up to you L/n" Albert said. "They shouldn't, my sole purpose is to aid this country's military and make sure our men are safe out there" I explained to him before heading off.

Albert's POV

"You're more than that" I said as the carriage took Y/n home.

I went back inside and everyone was still there.

"You have a lot of explaining to do to that woman" Bonde said to Moran. "Oh really? I wasn't aware" he said, annoyed. "I'm not taking sides, but this is kinda your fault" Fred said to him. "Yeah...good luck trying to make it up to her; me and you both know she's someone you shouldn't mess with" Jack said to Sebastian. "You guys aren't making this better!" Moran said. "We weren't trying to" Jack, Fred and Bonde said in unison.

Moran dramatically flopped onto the couch.

"She probably wants me dead" he said. "For real this time" Fred spoke quietly. "Fred!" Sebastian yelled at him. "Can you blame her? I only met her a few minutes ago, but it's pretty obvious that she cares about you and yet you let her down" Louis said. "I wasn't thinking" was Moran's sad excuse. "So...you couldn't write to her or try and visit throughout the years?" I asked him.

He didn't say anything.

"I don't know how you're going to win her over again, but we can't get caught up in your drama" Will said before heading to bed.
