Taking a deep breath, Zero hesitantly lifted his hand, knocking on the wooden door. The blonde waited patiently, hoping the person he wanted to see would open the door, but he was greatly disappointed when the door was instead opened by the last person he wanted to see.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Luther asked with a raised brow.

"I want to talk to our sister. You know, the one that isn't locked up in our basement." Zero remarked.

"Umm, she's not feeling well. Maybe later." The man quickly responded as a curly-haired woman peeked over Luther's shoulder.

Tapping Luther on the shoulder, Allison began to scribble on her notepad before turning it for the man to see. Luther let out a sigh as he shook his head, "Allison, you should-"

Shaking her head, Allison reached out and took hold of Luther's hand, giving him a pleading look. Please, she mouthed.

Finally, the man relented, "Fine, but I'll be close by if you need me. Don't stress her out." Luther warned, turning to look at the boy.

"Whatever you say." Zero told the man with a shrug as he walked past Luther and into the room.

"I'll be back."

"Of course you will." The boy muttered under his breath. Zero waited until Luther closed the door before turning to look at Allison. "He could never say no to you, especially when you give him puppy eyes." He told her with a smirk, causing Allison to smile softly.

What did you need? Allison wrote, taking a seat on her bed while Zero looked around the room, stopping at a framed picture of all of them as children.

"I was wondering if you would like to be my accomplice?" Zero asked, turning to his sister as he placed his hands behind his back.

Zero had been formulating a plan since he walked into the underground room, noticing everything that could help him break Vanya out. Every plan he thought up included Allison, knowing his sister had been desperate to get Vanya out.

Scrunching her eyebrows, Allison wrote on her notepad before turning it to him, For what?

"What if I told you we could get Vanya out before Luther notices she's gone?"

How?

"It's pretty straightforward, actually." Zero said, ready to explain his plan, "All we need to do is create a distraction, one that will allow us to sneak down where Vanya is before anyone notices."

You want me to be the distraction. The woman stated.

Zero grinned, glad Allison had caught on to what he was insinuating, "You catch on quick."

We did grow up with the same man who put us in these types of situations just to see how we would react.

"No denying that." Zero agreed, "So what do you say, you in?"

A thoughtful look crossed Allison's face for a few moments before a smile crossed her face as she outstretched her hand. The blonde smiled at his sister as he went to clasp it, ready to shake it. But before he could, the building shook, causing Zero to stumble while Allison held on to her bed frame as she tried to avoid falling from the bed.

The two siblings shared a look, coming to the same realization. Someone in their house had just snapped, and it wasn't anyone on the upper levels of the house.

"Vanya..." Zero whispered.

Zero grabbed Allison's hand, pulling her out of the room. The blonde looked around the hall for Luther, but there was no sign of the man. Not wanting to risk Allison's safety, Zero held her hand tighter, pulling her down the stairs as he ensured she didn't trip or fall. "Seriously, Vanya, you couldn't wait just a little longer?" Zero muttered, causing Allison to punch him lightly.
