Chapter 28

(A/n- okay I'm not a fan of 1D it's just that the lyrics are really sweet. Ignore the weirdness.)

This was the night. The night Frank was going to ask her for her hand in marriage.

"My love?" Frank walked into their bedroom. Quin was sitting on the bed reading a book.

"Yes?" She looked up and took her glasses off.

Frank paused and examined her.

She was 2 months along now. Her bump was starting to show ever so slightly.

"We're going on a trip." Frank played with his hands nervously.

"Uh.. What should I wear?" Quin asked.

"Something casual." Frank walked out and started getting ready.

He walked into the music room and looked under a chair.

There lied a little black box. He opened it and checked on the 14k diamond engagement ring.

"Frank?" Quin called out to him from the living room.

He quickly jammed the box into the bottom of his pocket.

"Yes?" He ran out.

Quin gave him a weird look and grabbed her purse.

Quin was wearing a green day shirt, skull leggings, a lip ring and a nose stud.

"You look beautiful." Frank stared at her.

Frank snapped out of the trance her beauty put him in.

"So uh lets go." He opened the door.

"Where are you taking me anyways?" She pushed the elevator button.

Frank simply smiled a mesmerizing smile at her.

The drive started to get familiar to Quin. It was the same route they took to the pond, where Frank told her he loved her.

Frank suddenly pulled to the side of the lonely road.

"W-what-?" Quin looked at Frank worriedly.

"Out of gas." Frank got out.

"Oh.." Quin sighed and got out.

"Just like planned." He muttered under his breath.

Quin grabbed his hand as he started walking on the side of the road. The sun was setting. It painted beautiful hues of pink and orange in the sky.

Quin could hear Frank hum the tune to a familiar song.

"Oooooh... Oh whoa." He quietly began to sing.

Quin glimpsed at him surprised.

"Am I asleep or awake or somewhere in between?

I can't believe that you're here and standing next to me.

Or did I dream that we were perfectly entwined? I like branches on a tree or twigs caught on a vine." Frank picked up a twig and gently poked her with it.

She rolled her eyes playfully.

"Like all those days and weeks and months I tried steal a kiss. Like all those sleepless nights and daydreams where I pictured this.

I'm just the underdog who finally got the girl."

Quin whimpered like a dog.

He continued the next line chuckling.

"And I am not ashamed to tell it to the world.......

He finished as he sat down on a tree stump.

Frank paused and took a deep breath.... He got down on one knee and pulled the box out slowly.

His heart soared.

"Quin Bella Baker... Will you marry me?" He started tearing up.

Quin covered her mouth as tears flew down her face.

She nodded her head rapidly.

"Yes..." She choked out and clenched onto him.
