"Well, how about who those boys are and why they did this to you." He replied.

I sighed. "This started about... a lot of years ago, longer than I can remember. I always considered myself an outcast. I was never like the other kids, and I always got made fun of for that. Than group of boys started bullying me around the third grade.

"I've dealt with them for most of my life. They've done stuff like this to some extent, but never to this point. The funny thing is, I used to be good friends with some of them."

Christian had a look of fear on his face. "What did you do to provoke them in the first place? I've never seen anyone be that violent with someone who didn't do something to deserve it."

"I think it all started when I stepped on the one kid's Jordans. They were new, and he was one of my really good friends. Now, mind you, most of the guys in this group were already friends and this was the third grade. He got very, very upset when this happened and it was on accident.

" I tried to tell him that, but he wouldn't listen. He ran off and told that group of guys. I'm pretty sure they've been making up reasons to hate me since then, because I haven't talked to them since then." Tears started to stream down my face. Christian gained a look of sympathy and sat down on my bed.

"Well, now you have me and Ashley and Andy and the whole gang to help you through this," He told me.

"What?" I asked. "Are you serious?"

He nodded. "We are going to hang around as long as we can and help you out, because, at least to me and Ash, you're our friend, and we help friends when they need it." I was speechless. CC's classic crooked smile graced his face.

"Are you okay there? You look like you're gonna pass out."

"I might. I may actually pass out." The whole room started to spin.

"Nurse! Nurse!" Christian called. I could hear the bustle of feet rushing toward the door and the heart monitor next to me. The beeping was speeding up, and then, all I heard was a long, ear splitting tone.

"Is she dead?" Ashley yelled from the hallway.

I awoke later in another stark white room. CC and Ashley were both standing at the foot of the bed.

"Winter, if you keep dying on us like this, I may have a panic attack. We might have to have a double funeral," Christian said.

"Make that a triple." Ashley said with a smirk.
