On the floor lay the remains of a crystal figuring of a goddess that belonged to Diana Aston. A seven year old Georgette and six year old Zelda stood above the shards.

"Who did this," asked their grandmother when she found it.

Zelda had done it. She had done it on purpose too. She was upset that her grandmother wouldn't let her have another cookie. So, in her rage she smashed the crystal figure of Diana the goddess and their grandmother's namesake. Now the two girls stood over what remained of it.

"Can't you just fix it?" asked Zelda.

"That's not the point," snapped Diana. "I want to know who did it?"

Neither girl spoke up. Diana became increasingly upset she started to tap her toe.

"I did it," said Georgette.

"You, did it?" asked her grandmother.

"Yes. I was upset and I broke it."

"Why were you upset?" asked Diana.

"We wanted more cookies and you said no." explained Georgette. "So I broke the figurine."

"I see," said Diana, "well it can be repaired."

Diana waved her hand over the shards and they put themselves back together. "See no harm, no foul," said Diana and with that she walked out of the room.

"Why did you do that?" asked Zelda.

"What?" asked Georgette.

"Take the blame for me," said Zelda.

"I knew she'd go easier on me than you," said Georgette. "So I lied. One day you may need to lie for me. I protected you and one day you'll protect me."

Marcea heard the gunshots and ran into the apartment not waiting for an all clear from the detectives. She saw the three bodies of the women on the bed the blood spatter on the wall and Alice Cooper lying dead on the floor then her eyes fell onto Anna who was holding Darren in her arms.

"Call 9-1-1," cried Anna.

Marcea pulled out her phone and dialed.

"9-1-1 what is your emergency?"

"I'm with Detective Matthews we have an officer down," explained Marcea.

"What's the address?" asked the operator.

"Address? I don't know! What's the address Anna?" she asked frantically.

"Valentine Park Apartments building 12 number 722!" exclaimed Anna.

"I heard that," replied the operator, "units are on their way."

"Thank you," said Marcea. "Please hurry!"

"They are coming as fast as they can," replied the operator, "I can stay on the line with you if you'd like."

"No that's ok," said Marcea, "I'm going to see if I can help Detective Matthews." With that she ended the call, "They're on their way, Anna."
