"How dare you!" snapped Diana.
But grandmother," replied Georgette.
"But nothing!" snapped Diana. "You are messing with things you don't yet fully understand. I tell you these things for your protection not to hide them from you."
"You're scared," Georgette snapped back. "You're scared I'll become more powerful than you."
"I am not," said Diana. "You will as powerful as you are meant to be. I will not purposely hold you back. But there are things about this house you don't know."
"This is just a house grandmother!" snapped Georgette.
"You speak out of ignorance and arrogance," retorted Diana.
"Then tell what I must know," demanded Georgette.
"You're not ready," said Diana.
"Who are you to decide that?" asked Georgette.
"I am the head of your circle," replied Diana. "You will do what I say."
"Maybe it's time for a new Supreme!" snapped Georgette.
"And I suppose that it should be you?" asked Diana.
"Maybe," said Georgette.
"One must crawl before they walk," replied Diana.
"And what does that mean?" asked Georgette.
"It means my dear, that you're not ready," said Diana.
" I AM ready and I WILL do whatever I please," snarled Georgette.
"You WILL show me some respect young lady," snorted Diana.
"Make me!" challenged Georgette.
"Make you? Is that how we've raised you to speak to your elders?" asked Diana.
"I don't need to be raised any longer. I'll start my own circle and I'll do as I please, including marry George," vented Georgette.
"That boy will not give you any girls," said Diana.
"That man will give me what I need," grunted Georgette.
"Georgette, I love you. I am only looking out for you," answered Diana.
"Fuck you!" said Georgette.
Diana slapped her across the face and turned from the conversation.
"Start your own circle then," said Diana over her shoulder, "But know that in doing so you leave mine."
"So we have the book now what?" asked Darren.
"We take it to Pandora," replied Zelda. "And quickly before my sister knows it's missing."
