Veldanava's POV:

As I strolled down the corridors of my castle, I prepared myself to confront the audacious humans who dared trespass into my domain. Lost in thought, a realization struck me upon reaching the castle gates. What would happen if I were defeated? My anger surged, fueled by the humans who had taken the life of my beloved wife, Lucia Nava. Yet, I was already weakened due to some of my powers going to my daughter when she was born and given a name.

To aid my concentration, I activated my extra skill, Thought Acceleration, allowing my mind to race with heightened speed. The weight of the situation settled upon me—I could never see my daughter or my wife again if I were to lose this battle. Through the unique skill of Soul Bond, Lucia's soul remained with me, ensuring we would be eternally together until one of us perished. This also meant that I had the ability to revive her if she were to die. Concern for Milim's safety grows in me, knowing that the repercussions of my defeat might lead the humans to target her. Thus, I employed my skills Through Communication to summon my sisters, Velzard and Velgrynd, to handle Milim's protection. My brother, on the other hand, was left uninvolved, as he often tended to complicate matters.

Arriving at the gates, my thoughts settled, and I deactivated Thought Acceleration. An idea sprouted in my mind—I would create a successor for myself before my eventual demise. This successor would be the most powerful True Dragon I could fashion, and I would bring him back to life once he had reached the required level of strength. Activating my unique skill, Stop Time, I halted time itself, allowing me a brief window to mold my successor using the remnants of my power. However, time would not be on my side, as this ability could only be sustained for a few minutes, unlike during my prime when I could freeze time completely and have it freeze as much as I want.

Using my diminishing power, I crafted an exquisite being with a beautiful face and cascading blueish-silver hair that extended down their back. This person bore a striking resemblance to me, with golden eyes and blueish-silver hair. "Rimuru Tempest." I named this creation, and with a surge of magical energy, I transferred all of my remaining power into Rimuru, rendering myself even weaker.

Rimuru's POV:

As I opened my eyes, I found myself facing a man slightly shorter than me. His expression betrayed surprise as he gazed upon me. Perplexed, I wondered why. He then spoke, his words leaving me bewildered.

"I thought I was creating a boy's body..."

Confused, I replied, "I am a boy, mister."

His surprise deepened, but he continued, revealing his identity.

"I am Veldanava, one of the True Dragons and creators of this world, and you will become my successor!"

His declaration confused me even further. The first words I heard upon my creation were about becoming the successor of the world's creator himself. The confusion must have shown on my face as I questioned him.

"Why me?!?"

He calmly responded, "I will need you to revive me in the future when the time comes for my demise."

The shock registered on my face, and I struggled to comprehend the weight of his words. Before I could process further, he began explaining the reason for my existence—to become his successor, to be sealed away with a companion named Ciel who would guide me through training and perfecting his abilities, powers, and skills. I questioned him about the dangers associated with wielding such immense power, but he assured me that I would be fine. However, I sensed a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Curiosity engulfed me as he approached, placing his hand on my forehead. A surge of energy coursed through me, accompanied by profound changes within my body that were meant to help me handle the forthcoming powers, skills, and abilities. An aura and a True Dragon Core were bestowed upon me. Veldanava explained that the aura, darker than his own, would aid in channeling the power, while the True Dragon Core resembled his own and would facilitate my growth. Weakened, he appeared fragile as he completed the transfer of his powers, abilities, and skills to me.

Concern filled me as I asked, "Master, are you okay?"

He responded faintly, "I am fine. I have given you all my powers, abilities, skills, aura, the True Dragon Core, and Ciel to assist you in your training."

Such a casual remark about bestowing one's entire being left me astounded he looked like if someone punch him it is over for him. Just as I was about to say something, he uttered, "That's everything. Bye-bye!"

I shouted, "You son of a-"

Before I could finish my sentence, he cast me into the void to train, as his unique skill, Time Stop, deactivated. He had to face the humans at the gates, but his subsequent defeat and demise were inevitable. I knew this because his soul merged with mine, and I could sense his presence within me, resting until the time I grew powerful enough to revive him. My resolve formed—to make this world peaceful again.
