Wednesday's POV-

I was in fencing class looking for my next victim of mass embarrassment was going to be, when Bianca approached me.

"You know, you really shouldn't wear your fencing uniform to lunch, Wednesday." She said.

"It isn't my lunch on my uniform, it's the blood of my enemies. Someone else was finally brave enough to challenge me to a no mask duel. Now the nurse says he won't be dueling for about a month."

Bianca's smug smile faltered momentarily. She raised her eyebrow,

"I never expected you to duel the underqualified, I guess everyone needs an ego boost now and then." Her smug smile returned.

"I never expected you to call them underqualified, seeing as you had such a tough time in your duel with them earlier."

Her smile turned quickly to a frown. Anger burned behind her eyes.

"A duel, tomorrow at noon, in the quad. No masks, no tips, no suit. First to quit loses." She stuck out her hand.

I shook it.

"I accept."

Enid's POV-

"You agreed to a death duel!?" I screamed.

"Not a death duel, I'm sure she'll quit before then." Wednesday replied calmly as she continued typing away at her typewriter.

I flopped back onto her bed. I know Wednesday is good at fencing, I just don't want to see her get hurt. Knowing Wednesday, she wouldn't give up even if she were losing.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? What if you lose?" I ask.

"I believe it's an idea that will put Bianca in her place, and I am fully confident in my fencing skills to beat her. Do you believe otherwise?" At the last part she stopped typing and turned to face me.

"No no no, of course not loves! I believe in you, I just want to make sure that you know what you're getting into." I walked over to her and her around her neck.

"Good. Because even if I didn't realize what I'm getting into, there's no turning back, the deal has already been made." She said as she returned to her typewriter.

Bianca's POV-

It was an hour before the duel. I hate to admit it, but I was slightly nervous. Wednesday is a worthy opponent, but I knew I couldn't let her win.

As I sat in my dorm staring at my sabre, I couldn't help but worry more.

What if she won?

My reputation would be ruined.

I couldn't let that happen.

I grabbed my sabre and my nail file from my bedside table. I began carefully sharpening the weapon. Once it was sharp, I grabbed a candle from my desk. I used the bottom of the candle to wax the now sharp edges of my sabre.

Finally satisfied, I went to the quad, ready for the duel of a lifetime.
