Wednesday's POV-

The night was certainly a rough one. Each drop of rain stung against the shreds of skin on my knee. After crawling for what felt like hours, I was exhausted.

Luckily, I spotted a small shack. Half of the roof was caved in and it looked 50 years old, but it would do for the night.

Inside the safety of the shack I curled up in a corner and instantly fell asleep.

Enid's POV-

I woke up the next morning and ran to Principal Weems' office.

"Any news?" I asked as I burst in.

"None yet. It won't be long though, I'm sure they'll find her today."

"Can I go with them?"

"Enid, you can't just skip all your clas-"

"Please???" I begged.

Weems let out a deep sigh.

"Alright, you can go with them. There should be a group going into the forest in just a few minutes. As long as you stay with them, you can go."

I sprinted out of her office and toward the edge of the forest.

Just like Weems' said, there was a group of officers preparing to go in, Sheriff Galpin being one of them.

"Morning Enid, no news yet. We were just about to leave for a further search."

"Weems said I could go with you, please?"

"If you've got her permission, I suppose it's alright. Hop onto that ATV with Officer Rogers."

I did as I was told.

Before long we were deep in the forest, searching on foot.

Wednesday's POV-

I was dreaming,

I was back at our dorm, with Enid. We were cuddled up in our bed, watching a movie. I slowly began falling asleep on Enid's shoulder.

"I love you Wednesday... Wednesday..."

"Wednesday! Wednesday!" I snapped out of my dream. I could hear my name! It was very far off in the distance, but I could hear it. Was I insane? Was I finally dying? No... no... it was real! It was Enid!

I could hear her calling my name off in the distance.

"Enid!" I tried calling back. My voice was hoarse and scratchy from not having any water.

I crawled out of the shack and began following the voice.

"Wednesday! Wednesday where are you!?" I was getting closer.

"Enid! I'm here!" I called back.

"WEDNESDAY!? IS THAT YOU!?" She yelled back, having heard my call.

"ENID! ENID, I'M HERE!" I yelled out.

I heard rustling off in the bushes.

"WEDNESDAY! I'M COMING!" She was close. I kept crawling toward her voice.

Finally I saw her burst through the thick brush.

"WEDNESDAY!" She screamed as she rushed to my side.

"Enid! Enid, I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have been so jealous about you and Ajax! I'm so so sorry!" I began crying.

"I'm sorry too! I shouldn't have gotten so upset at you! I'm so so sorry Wednesday!" She was sobbing too.

She took my head in her hands, noticing all the dried blood.

"Oh my gosh Wednesday! You're bleeding!"

"Heh, you think?" I laughed weakly.

"OH MY GOSH AND YOUR LEG!"

"Yeah, I had a bit of a stumble..."

Then a sheriff's officer burst through the brush from where Enid had too.

"Dear lord!" He exclaimed at the sight of me.

"Sheriff Galpin! We've got her! She's in poor condition!" He said into his radio.

"We've got to get you out of here, ma'am." He told me, "We need to get you to a hospital stat."

Then I heard sirens in the distance, getting closer. Suddenly it flew through a bunch of bushes. It was Sheriff Galpin, on a golf cart.

"Get her on the cart stat!" He yelled.

The officer carefully scooped me up off the ground and brought me to the golf cart. He laid me down on a stretcher across the backseat and buckled me into a harness attached to it. Enid hopped into the passenger seat, looking back at me, worried.

"All clear chief!" The officer yelled, backing up from the cart. Then we tore off through the woods.
