Katsuki plopped down on Izuku's bed as if it was his own, stretching out his limbs and snuggling into the crimson red comforter. Izuku just watched him for a moment, shocked at how comfortable he looked. This version of Izuku was really living the dream.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow at him. "You gonna come lay down or just stand there and stare at me?" he asked.

Izuku's blush devoured his entire face. "Sure," he muttered, crawling slowly onto the space beside Katsuki. The blonde opened his arms, and Izuku beamed. "Do you usually cuddle with your Deku?"

Katsuki glared, resting his head on top of Izuku's, twisting his fingers into the green curls at the nape of his neck. "His name is Izuku. Your name is Izuku. Of all people, you should know that the best."

Izuku snuggled his face into Katsuki's chest to hide his face. (And also to calm his erratic heartbeat.) He really could get used to this version of Katsuki, saying such sweet things to him all the time. Izuku didn't know how much he needed this until it smacked him across the face.

He didn't want to leave. Not now, not ever.

Katsuki sighed, letting his hand fall out of Izuku's hair and rest listlessly between his shoulder blades. Izuku stayed put, his arms wrapped around Katsuki's torso and his head pressed into the crook of his neck.

"To answer your question," Katsuki said. "Yeah. I do cuddle with him. All the time, actually."

Izuku hummed. "I wish my Kacchan was like you. You make me feel so... safe."

Katsuki pulled Izuku even closer, pressing their bodies together under the heavy blanket. "At the end of the day, me and him are the same person. And you and my Izuku are the same, too. The only difference is how we were all raised. You and your Kacchan were bombarded by pressure from All Might, and after mom died—"

"Uh, my mom didn't die?" Izuku blurted.

Katsuki furrowed his eyebrows. "Not yours, dummy. Mine."

Izuku pulled back from the embrace to glance up at Katsuki, trying to find any trace of a lie. Or delirium. "Kacchan's mom isn't dead," Izuku said. "She's very much alive. Actually, she took me and Todoroki out for lunch the other day."

Katsuki was absolutely baffled. "My mom? Like, Bakugou Mitsuki? She's alive? And who's Todoroki?"

Izuku waved the question away. "Son of Endeavor. He's my best friend at Yuuei."

Katsuki pouted much too dramatically, forcing his lips into a deep frown and making creases in his forehead. "I can't believe this shit," he grumbled.

Izuku rolled his eyes. "Across all realities, you've still got the same pouty face. What's wrong?"

"Endeavor is still around in your reality?" Katsuki asked.

"Uh, yeah? He became the number one hero after All Might retired."

"Here, he's been in prison for domestic abuse since, like, eight years ago. He really messed up his first born son, and then his wife called the police. He's been in jail ever since."

"Wow..." Izuku cleared his throat to hide his nervous laugh. "Yeah, that explains a lot."

"What do you mean?"

"Todoroki has a massive burn over his left eye. He's totally traumatized. Anyway, what was the second thing?"

"Dude, I'm your best friend! How the hell could you replace me with a traumatized piece of shit?! Who the fuck does this Todoroki asshole think he is?!"

"Calm down and stop whining," Izuku teased. "He's just a friend. No need to get your panties in a twist."

Katsuki couldn't help but smirk. "You sound exactly like my Izuku," he said.

Izuku beamed. "Really?"

Katsuki nodded. "He's got a mouth on him, for sure. He's super sassy and sarcastic, but he's also the most caring and kind person I've ever met. I guess he's the reason why I didn't turn out like your Kacchan. We were there for each other."

Izuku's smile practically evaporated. Tears collected in his eyes, but before Katsuki could comfort him and ask him what's wrong, he pushed himself forward and caught the blonde in a kiss.

Katsuki was patient with him. He let Izuku kiss him, placing one hand on his hip and the other cupping his jaw just below his ear. He was slow, gentle, and considerate of the tears pouring out of Izuku's closed eyes, soaking his eyelashes and cheeks. After a moment or so, when Izuku began to hyperventilate, Katsuki pulled back.

"I don't w-wanna go back," he sobbed. "Please, Kacchan, I wanna stay! I have to stay!"

Katsuki brushed Izuku's tears away with his thumbs and pressed his lips against Izuku's forehead. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "But I'm not your Kacchan. I have my own Izuku. I love him."

Izuku never thought that hearing Katsuki confess his feelings for him would hurt so bad. Even compared to another version of himself, Izuku was never enough.
