"Cat the party was amazing! I met this other boy. I'll never meet him again, bit I don't know what to do," I confuse to my friend as I lie in my bed with my laptop on my knees and my phone in my shoulder.

"What about Rome?" She asks.

"I'm still with him. Since I'll never see the other one again. I really like Rome though," that's when I hear Frances gasp at her desk and she stops typing.

"Whore!" She yells from the other side of the dorm room.

"Cat hold on for a sec," I put the phone down and look at Frances, "go fuck your boyfriend in the bathtub!" Her mouth drops and I return to my conversation with Cat, "sorry about that Cat. Proceed,"

"I was saying that if you like Rome stay with Rome. If you don't you need to tell him. He doesn't need for you to play him on. No one likes that."

"Yes Cat I know this. This isn't my first time in a relationship," I hear her spit out her water making me scrunch my noise. "Cat that's rude!"

"Sorry but I thought you said your first relationship was with Derek and that didn't last very long," she starts howling on the other end. She thought this was hilarious, I thought other wise.

"Cat your acting like a two year old quit it."

Vic and I planned to go out for the rest of the day once our classes were over. It was no problem for me because my Wednesday class ended at 11:30 am. We told each other we'd meet up at Ranch, a small country house diner that sold brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, our personally favourite. But like Vic she was always running behind. So I waited at our table alone drinking my soda. When someone slides into the seat across from me I don't bother looking.

"Hey Vic," I say. The person doesn't answer so I look up to see Coden. Then looking around to see if Vic is close I lean in. "What are you doing here," I hiss.

"I was going to eat here. I saw you by yourself and decided to join. If you don't want me here, fine by me I'll leave," he starts sliding out from the booth and right when he turns to leave I grab his wrist and pull him down.

"You can stay. My friend won't be here for a while," I reply.

This time I can see him perfectly. He still has his sharp cheekbones and dark under eyes. He's wearing a light blue button down and dark jeans. He has muscular defined arms and a smile that kills.

"You know you've only seen me once and you're already staring," he smirks at me and leans against the booth chair. "But it is nice to see you again,"

"Well last time I saw you was in an alley in the pitch dark. I should be curious," I answer as I stir my coffee before taking a sip.

"Whatever floats your boat," he replies as I take a sip of coffee, then quickly spit it out.

"Fuck! That was hot," I reach for some napkins and dap it over the puddles. I look up and glare realizing Coden is just in hysterics.

"It would be nice for some help," I hiss wiping up the mess.

"Sorry. You're just like how I remembered you!" He can't stop laughing while I star at him blankly. He catches me then replies. " yesterday. You were being funny too."

I nod my head. "Um hum."

What did he mean? We've never met? I think to myself.

I shake my head from my thoughts then return back to reality to see that Coden had finished the cleaning.
