how you and Evan met-

it was a normal winter night and you were out walking to one of your favorite coffee shops after a late night at work, after a ten minute walk you get to the shop and push the door open to hear the bell ringing like it did every time you came.

"there's my favorite person!" the woman behind the counter says as you walk over, you give a sweet smile as you get to the counter.

"same as always?"

"you know it"

"coming right up Hun" she says before turning around to start making your coffee you take this time to walk over to your normal seat in the back of the store where you could work away at some work and enjoy a nice warm cup of coffee, once you sit down you set your computer up and get your work ready then wait for your coffee that would be done any minute.

once the woman calls your name you get up and walk over to the counter pulling out the money and handing it to her while she hands you to coffee, once the coffee was safely in your hand you make your way back to your seat you put your head phones on and press shuffle on your playlist getting you in the working mood. you were hard at work when you hear the door open again which normally didn't happen since you always came around midnight so you look up from your computer to see a man around your age with brown hair and dark brown eyes, you couldn't help but think to yourself that this man was very attractive but it was true he was definitely not ugly..

but you knew you had seen him somewhere before but you couldn't place where, you watched as he walked over to the counter and ordered his coffee before looking around at the place locking eyes with you before you break the eye contact and look back down at your computer. but the minute you felt his eyes off of you, you look back at the counter and see him smiling at the woman behind the counter as he pays her and grabs his coffee then turns around and walks over to a table sat beside the window so you could look out of the road.

you look back down at your computer trying to focus on your work, you go to sip your coffee but jump when someone taps your shoulder and a small amount of coffee drops down onto your white shirt making you groan and take off your head phones. you look next to you to see one of your co-workers stood there with a nervous look on her face.

"oh y/n I'm so sorry i didn't mean to scare you!"

"hey it's okay don't worry, it's not a big spill" you say standing up and walking over to the counter and grab a few napkins.

"are you sure i feel awful!"

"don't worry! your fine"

"okay good"

"but what are you doing here?"

"i am about to have a mental break down that's why!"

"why what's wrong?"

"work is what's wrong! i have to finish a huge project in a week it's impossible!"

"hey it's okay just breath, it's possible you just have to manage your time right"

"can you please help me!"

"of course, why don't you get a drink and come sit with me?"

"oh thank you so much" she says wrapping you in a a hug before turning to the counter and orders her drink, while she was ordering you look back over at the man and see he was looking at you but quickly looks away you couldn't help but let a small smile grow on you face as you felt that weird fluttering feeling in your stomach growing. you make you way back over to your table with your co-worker and sit down, while she gets her computer out of her bag you peak over at the man once again and see he was scrolling around on his phone while sipping his coffee. your co-worker notices you watching the guy and looks at you confused.

"do you know him?"

"oh no.."

"wait.. you like him don't you! you have a coffee shop crush"

"shush your being loud!"

"y/n that is so cute! you need to give him your number!"

"no way!"

"fine then I'll give it to him" she says before getting up you watch in horror as she walks over to the guy and starts talking to him you hide you face when the two look back at you feeling your face turning deep red, when you peak through your hands you see your co-worker typing something into his phone before handing it back and giving him a nice smile then heads back over to the table. you glare at your co-worker as she gives you a smug grin.

"he is a cutie you'll thank me later"

"if he even texts me!"

"oh he so will, the minute i mentioned you it's like his eyes lit up"

"oh shut up and let's get to work" you say rolling your eyes and go back to work but deep inside you were hoping that what she said was true.. it had been a while since you dated so you wished that this would give you a chance, you and your co-worker spend a an hour or two there before you started getting tired so you pack your things up and put you coat on then you wait for you co-workers so you two could both head home.

once you both were ready to go you head over to the door and wave goodbye to the woman behind the counter.

"bye Hun"

"I'll be back"

"i know you will!"

you smile and leave the shop and start walking home the snow falling onto your head you part ways with your co-worker leaving you to walk the rest of the way home by yourself, you get to your house and pull your keys out of your pocket and unlock the door once you step inside you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket so once your inside with the door closed you pull out your phone and see a new text.

"hi, this is the guy from the cafe!"

holy shit...
