Summer played with the bottom of her shirt nervously as they drove silently toward the Autobot base. She had thought her first days of school were nightmares and it was even worse to imagine a similar situation, but instead of people her age, she was going to meet alien robots that turn into vehicles.

Fowler had busted a gut when she asked if they were slimy. Or ever tried to eat someone.

And she found it incredibly disturbing that they were the ones who came into Jasper and put her into containment.

They could have eaten her.

Of course, Fowler had assured her that they're not carnivores. They weren't even herbivores. They only ate a special type of crystal called energon. It was their lifeblood and fuel. They practically used it for everything.

She still worried about being eaten.

"We're here." Fowler announced, opening his door and stepping out.

Swallowing hard, Summer climbed out as well, sticking close to Mr. Kayne's side. The old man gave her a small smile before falling Agent Fowler toward the door. The man grabbed the handle and Summer felt another surge of panic.

"Wait!" She held out her hand. "Can you give me a second?"

He nodded, glancing back at the blue truck they'd came out of momentarily.

"Nah." Mr. Kayne pulled Summer along. "You're only going to overthink and make yourself even more panicked."

They went inside, and thankfully, she didn't immediately see any of them. Instead, Miko came bounding over, followed by two familiar boys and a woman.

"Summer!" Miko pulled her friend into a tight hug. "I'm so glad you're alive again!"

"I didn't die." Summer smiled.

"Well..." Mr. Kayne cleared his throat. "You did a little bit. I didn't want to say anything yet."

Summer stared at him for a long moment before the woman stepped into her line of sight.

"Hi, I'm June. Jack's mother." The woman smiled.

"I'm Jack." The older boy greeted her.

"Raf." The youngest smiled meekly.

Summer smiled. "I'm Summer."

"Oh, they know." Fowler assured her, walking further into the base. "Now come meet the bots."

"So, how was the ride in Ultra M–"

Jack smacked the back of Miko's head. "She isn't supposed to know yet!"

"How much more is there to know?" Summer looked at them, feeling overwhelmed and slightly frustrated.

"A ton." Miko grinned. "I'm so glad you're in the fold, we can be true BFFs now."

"Summer!" Fowler drew her attention back to an array of vehicles. Another one drove into the room and Summer recognized it as the one they rode here in.

"Wait, that was a–" Summer spotted the Autobot symbol and her eyes went wide, realizing she'd asked a ton of questions about them, while she was inside one.

"We thought it would help for you to realize that they're friendly. Peaceful." Mr. Kayne explained. "He didn't do anything during the ride."

"That's Ultra Magnus." Miko explained.

"Are you ready?" Fowler asked.

Summer looked at the cars and then nodded.

Slowly, the parts on the cars began to shift and change, growing in height until they were towering above her, all of them looking directly at her with their bright blue eyes. She felt so tiny, like an ant to them.
