Chapter 27Biyone's pov
The deceased Korean woman was Tyrel's fiancé's cousin, it was sad all over the way they had killed her. How cruel can mankind be for what isn't theirs and what they haven't work for? I was out of a job like Kemar and a lot more persons who worked in the wholesales, the incident has affected the whole Kingston and it seems like there would be no justice.
Jahnoi and the shottas didn't venture out of the lane as the place was so tense that not even the lawyer offices on Duke street was staying open until their appointed closing time. Police was stationed all around towns as more wholesales opened for business the following week, Kemar went back to work but I sell at my mother's cart in the day time until she came in the evening and took over. I go to my house and cook dinner and Jahnoi comes for his share before I go up to his house to sleep.
Things sort of came back to normal as the World Cup starts and Jahnoi took me out some evenings, we go to restaurants, clubs, parks or just drive somewhere and park. We made passionate love with steamy sex every other night or so, but most nights when I get up to pee he was not in the house. He always came back fully dressed in black and I often wonder if this was how it was going to always be.
My dad finally came home and he accompanies me on my day offs to mom's ground food and seasoning cart, Christmas is just around the corner and earning extra money was the aim for my family. I didn't buy a pregnancy tester but I knew I was pregnant, I wanted to ask Jalan if we can try and get a house somewhere now, but him showing us pictures of a very pregnant Vicky crushed my courage.
Mommy had just came and I got up so she can sit down and rest, when Jahnoi and six shottas walk past fully masked and carrying his gun in his hand like the others. I turn in time to see Roxy signaling them a short distance over on the opposite side and Jalan says "back up." We shift a bit up the lane unable to see Jahnoi and the others who were moving crouched down through the crowd.
A group of men came up Princess street and turn heading out on West Queen street. I knew Jahnoi's hand anywhere as it flew up with the gun before he stood and two loud explosions followed, and then it was chaos as everyone ran for cover and I watch the men running and Jahnoi and the others running and jumping over peoples head and stalls while firing at the men. Men were dropping, ducking and everything was happening all at once.
I think Jamaica's medal tally could me much more if some of these men had trained and gone to the Olympics. Jahnoi and some of the others went out of sight around the corner and gunshots barked, I was extremely scared and worried as I watch Roxy and and two more shottas fully masked go over the men lying on the ground and putting a shot in their heads.
"Let's go," Jalan says and we put up the stools on the carts and I started to help mommy to push the cart up the lane.
Jahnoi's pov
Me and the shottas tore some shots up into Chancery lane after killing Scull to make sure none of them run out in defense. Razor brought over the axe and hand me, while a few others held gun on the police vehicle parked at the stoplight on Orange street. I began chopping up Skull mercilessly even though I already put about ten shots in him, I wanted to kill him a hundred times for my brother but hand back Razor the now bloodied axe as sirens wailed coming this way.
The officers stare at us with their hands up in the air, but the one sitting in the jeep pointed his gun at me. I jerk my head to the side and Roxy took it from his hand from behind and I call him out with two gloves fingers. "A who yuh a point gun pon when mi affi a duh yuh work fi yuh?" I ask him and then cut him a box.
