The Black Lake

Basically the next few days Amelia and Leo didn't even hesitate to keep it a secret anymore. They would skip class almost all the time, not to snog though. But I've seen them just talking outside Near the lake or sometimes even walking around in the hallways. Never in a million years would I have thought that Amelia would do such a thing, but I guess we are all full of surprises.

It wasn't long until Thomas and I started going with them too. Yes I know, probably not the best idea, but cmon. I get to skip class and hangout with my friends, what's better than that?

We were sitting by the lake when we started talking about Malfoy.

"What's Malfoy's problem, he seems to care so much about who I've been hanging out with lately." I said.

"Well I mean isn't it obvious?" Leo said, looking at the confused look on my face.

"What is?" I said, not having any clue about what he was talking about.

"Malfoy's obviously jealous." He said, while smirking.

"Jealous? Of who?" I asked, completely oblivious about where he was going with this.

"He doesn't like you hanging out with other guys cause he's jealous, which means that he likes you." Amelia said, in a way as if she thought I was crazy for not realizing sooner.

"Draco? Likes me?" I asked, finally realizing.

They then both nodded, but I could see Thomas start to make a weird face.

"No, it can't be. I mean it's Malfoy, why would he?" I said, trying to make them sound obviously insane.

"Well, I mean we have known him for a while now and have you not seen the way he looks at you?" Amelia said.

I didn't want to encourage what they were saying so I tried changing the subject.

"Look, something moved in the water." I said, pointing towards the lake.

We all eventually got up and moved towards the lake to get a better view. We then saw the same thing move once again in the water.

"Look, I see something down there." Amelia said, getting down on her knees to see, Leo going down with her.

Then, all of a sudden, Amelia decides to push Leo into the lake. His whole body made a huge splash and we all started laughing.

"What's so funny Amelia, you should get a better view. Come and join me." Leo said, then pulled her straight into the water.

"You little-" Amelia started, but eventually got cut off by Leo who had splashed her in the face with water.

Thomas then pulled me into a hug and then said, "Let's join them." So he pulled us into the water, while I yelled at him for it.

"I cannot believe you just did that." I said, shaking my head.

Eventually we saw some other people come out of class, so we knew class had ended, so we all got out of the lake. Once we got out, we went into the hallway to go look for towels.

We were walking down the hallway until we saw Draco walking with Miles and some other Slytherins.

"Well, look who it is." Draco said, walking closer towards us.

"Oh, look it's Malfoy and his goons once again." Leo said.

"Why are you hanging around with this filthy Hufflepuff Amelia, I thought I taught you better than that." He said, while him and the others laughed.

"Maybe cause they don't make fun of other people or judge them by their house." She scoffed.

"I did you a favor about warning you Amelia, maybe some day you'll thank me. As for you Potter, you don't seem to care who you're hanging out with, next thing you know you'll be hanging out with some mud bloods."

"You really don't give up, do you Malfoy?" Thomas said.

"You're one to talk, my father told me about your family. Helping others trying to make yourselves look good. Doing that won't help you win the girl. It may have helped your father but look at where it brought him now." He said, and I couldn't believe it.

Thomas's dad had died when he was four so he never got to know him that well, obviously Malfoy knew him better than that.

Eventually Thomas grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pushed him towards the wall. Malfoy then punched him right in the face, making his nose start to bleed.

"You guys, enough!" I yelled, even though they couldn't hear me.

"At least I didn't scare her off like you did Malfoy, no wonder y/n left you." Thomas replied, then punching Malfoy, then i heard his chin crack.

"She obviously feels sorry for you, there's no other way she would actually hang out with you." He replied, punching him again.

"Dont you ever get tired of being rude to people, that's why they keep on leaving you." Thomas said.

"Let's face it, if you keep it up, next thing you know you will be in the grave just like your father is." Malfoy said, and then I realized that he really messed up.

That really made it worse and Thomas eventually punched him so hard that he knocked him out.

Eventually Amelia went to go get Madame Pomfrey and she took him to the Hospital Wing.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked Thomas as I sat down next him in the Hufflepuff common room. I normally sneak in there but no one really cares.

"Yeah, im fine." He replied.

"You know he normally doesn't mean it, he just said it out of anger but he's a nice guy on the inside." I said.

"I don't get how you can forgive him after that." Thomas said. "He's done a lot of horrible things you know that, right?"

"Yeah, but I try to forgive everyone even though they are bad people. I believe everyone has a good side, they just don't know how to show it." I replied, while he just laughed.

"I can't believe you, you're really great you know that right?" He said while smiling.

"Yeah, I know." I said, then we stared at each other for about a solid five minutes.

Eventually he moved in closer and next thing you know we are kissing right in front of everyone. The moment our lips touched I could feel a sudden feeling I hadn't felt with anyone before, but I liked it. This went on for a while but it felt like forever.

All of sudden I didn't keep track of the time but eventually we fell asleep on each other.

A few hours later, I felt someone pushing me and I eventually woke up.

"What are you doing?" I said, getting up.

"I'm doing you a favor." Amelia said.

But she was too late because eventually people started coming down and next thing you know almost everyone from Hufflepuff was crowded around us on the couch. So, I woke up Thomas, he was confused at first but then got up right away when he saw everyone around us.

"We have got to stop doing this." I said, as we both stood up.

"I don't know, I kind of like it." He responded, and I just shook my head.
