𝕆nce school had started, Hanako had snuck into his beloved assistant's classroom. Sure it'd be a little creepy, but he's dead. He's kinda been watching everyone without their knowledge for a long time, so it didn't matter too much. He watched from afar, not wanting to interrupt anything.
She was excitely showing the purple-haired girl beside her a paper he very much recognized. He couldn't tell for the death of him which order her name went. Aoi Akane? Akane Aoi? Either way she was almost just as excited on the matter as Yashiro was. Besode them, was the middle clock keeper, who had his assistant almost entirely phased outbof his mind, leaving just the purple girl. He didn't know whether to be pleased, or dissapointed at his object of affections not being Yashiro.
At the moment, the thing mostly on his mind was that he had succeded.
He spent his time mostly messing around with mokke or just plain watching her. See, she did this thing sometimes when lost in thought, where she just kinda twirls her pen around. And when trying to think something out like a problem, when it was really tough, she'd nibble on the tip of the pen. You'd be surprised how interesting it was to just stare.
Eventually, class was about to end, some kids were already packing up some of their stuff. As much as he'd like to stay for longer, he had to get going so he'd make it there before her.
"Hey! Hanako-kun, guess what! Actually, I bet you can't!," She exclaimed immediately after busting the door open with one hand, bento lunch and paper in the other. "I got my first love letter! And by the way, it is actually ment for me this time!" She said, putting emphasis on the 'is' while shoving the paper he wrote in his face.
"Haha, oh wow Yashiro! That letter sure looks sappy~." he said teasingly, his thoughts full of nothing but him hoping his face isn't too noticeably red. Hearing that, she frowned slightly. "Well, it's the thought that counts. Don't act like you could write anything better!" She said pulling the paper away from his face with a pout.
Suddenly, something, or someone he should say interrupted them.
"Ah hello guys! Sorry I couldn't come yesterday nii-chan needed me to take care of Tiara." The blonde middleschooler came in, Opening the door far more softly than Yashiro had done before. He even closed it after, please be like him dear assistant.
"Oh! Hey Kou! Look, look!" She exclaimed, this time shoving the paper in his face instead of Hanako's. This time she was shaking it, making him unable to read the oh so important paper.
"Umm, Yashiro, I can't read it if you shake it like that." He said chuckling a little
"oh.. Hahah," she quit moving the paper around and just simply handed it to him. "silly me." How cute.
It took him a minute or two to read the short letter. Maybe he just wasn't to profficient in reading... But, after he did finish he looked up at his senpai and grinned. "Oh Yashiro! This is your first love letter, isn't it? I'm so happy for you!" he said happily, while he handed it back to her.
"Do you know who wrote it yet?" he asked head tilted slightly, propping his staff against the wall. A little jingle sound came from it as he did so.
After the kid said that, Nene sighed. "No, I would love to know though.." she trailed off, slightly dissapointed. A shiver ran down Hanako's spine.
Just hen, something popped in her mind and she sprang up. "Oh! Maybe it's Minomoto upperclassman!" She said a little too loudly. "My brother?" he asked somewhat quietly.
"Hmm, sorry Yashiro, I don't think he wrote it. I've seen his handwriting before, besides he wouldn't write something that sappy.. I think." She slumped a little where she stood, head turned downwards.
"Hehe! Don't worry little assistant, it could still be a handsome boy," He pulled her into him and held her.
"it could be that natsu-something senpai guy of yours!" he said laughing inbetween his words.
"Hey! No! Don't get me started on that guy! He tricked me and made me into a fish!" She said loudly, in a way that sounded a little like a screech, all while trying to pull herself away from him.
"fish??" Kou muttered with furrowed blonde brows.
kou sat down on the floor that had been cleaned just yesterday and cleared his throat in his hand, putting all attention on him. "Didn't you say you wanted to know who wrote the letter senpai?" he asked, pulling out his chopsticks to eat his lunch, then stuffing a piece of veggies in his mouth. The rest followed suite and sat in a small circle, or triangle he supposed since there was only three.
"I think I know how to find out!" he said after finishing the bite. Yashiro tilted her head, eyes brimming with anticipation.
"We look at their handwriting!" the kid said grinning ear to ear fangs sticking out. The girl enthusiastically nodded. He started to zone out what Kou and his assistant said, falling into his own train of thought. He did not want to be caught.
