𝔼ventually he laid his pencil on the windowsill. Stopping to stare at the finished product.

"Dear Yashiro Nene,

sometimes, I can't help but just stare at you whenever you do anything, you make even the dimpl From top to bottom I find you magnificent, no matter what others might say, so have a little more confidence. Afterall, the mindset makes all the difference to most.

Sincerly, the secret admirer who can't help but admire you"

He had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what to write that would convey what he wanted to say, while also not sounding like some sort of weirdo. Hanako supposed he found the right middle-ground. If he made her feel more awkward than happy it would have been more harm than good.

Hanako made his way to her locker that hid amongst all the othe4 lockers... Because that was how lockers worked.

He'd known which one was hers because she had a period of time after being kidnapped by his brother and their lackeys where she was scared to be alone in the halls and whatnot.

Her locker on the inside was covered in photos of her and her classmate friends. He'd recognized all of them, minus the one who in every photo was on his phone. Some of them were of the toilet trio, as he liked to dub them. He imagined they looked silly to other people because they wouldn't be able to see him, leaving a big empty spot.

When there wasn't photos, there were stickers and magnets. Most of them tended to be hamster related. Everyonce and ahwile you'd notice a note here and there ment to remind her of various things, or in one case to stay strong, because her prince will come soon. The first time around he didn't take much of a close look, also there was a lot more clutter inside last time. He wondered if she cleaned it for the special admirer who she held in such high regard.

Whatever the reason was it was, he knew it wasn't for him, but the person in the letters. If she knew who it was she wouldn't give a care and would probably throw said letters away, so he shrugged it off.

He folded it up and placed it inside like he did before. Making sure nothing was changed but the appearance of the letter.

He shut the locker softly, the metal container making a quiet click as it went into place. He told the surrounding spirits, which were all mokke to speak no word of this and then left.

Usually the blondie boy left before Yashiro apparently having housework to do, what a housewife. Hanako couldn't not laugh out loud. Much to Nene's disbelief, the kid's older brother couldn't cook, nor clean, leaving everything onto him so he was very inept at the sort of thing.

Haha, nobody was perfect afterall, well, except maybe her, but he wasn't going to tell her that outside of his little confession letters.

Soon enough, morning rolled around. He'd spent it as he usually does, staring at the moon from a window, afterall, what ghost needed to sleep?

He couldn't stop himself from watching as the girl, who he admired so much, open up her locker door. Even from where he was Hanako could hear her squeals of glee, and he was located quite a ways away.

"Oh my god! He sent another one!" She read though the letter, rocking her on her heels with a big dopey grin on her face. When she finished, she hugged it close to her chest. Then, once her friends appeared, she started enthusiastically explaining the event in what was either, extreme detail, or extreme disorder, he couldn't tell which one as it all kinda bunched into a long like of unintelligible words from this far away.

Hanako decided to take a walk around the school while waiting for the next time he'd see his darling assistant. While he did so, he hummed a tune that he only vaugely remembered, it wasn't fully accurate to the real song, but it didn't matter anyways.

Before he knew it he had wandered into the garden, where as one would have guessed it, the gardening club took placed. He remembered that Yashiro was in it, and during the summer she grew mostly vegetables.

He saw the Kodama, who caused a large amount of strife to him and her awhile back, simply sitting nearby a bunch of other plants, the only difference was that this one was sentien.

The thing is, he was actually highly emmbarassed about the fake confession thing even now, he most definately he didn't have the ment fortitude to do that now. He'd long since realized that it was super rude of him. He knew he would have bsolutely hated it if Yashiro had fake-confessed to him. He might just dissipate then and there if such a thing happened again.

That made him stop in his tracks and think, why did she feel so upset about the situation. He knew he'd feel the same as her in that situation, but would that mean that she felt the same about him overall?

He looked down at himself through a puddle for a hot minute, then started to walk again. He doubted she'd ever feel the same, she likely just didn't like misunderstandings.

𝔸 / ℕ

I wrote most of this fic originally at school and while shopping. (not a big shopper unless its like fun stuff)

Also the og fic really constantly talked about how embarrassing writing all the letters were but like, so real hanako. Because writing them was so awkward. Like i am not a poetic person at all so ahhh. (can you tell im hanako projecting?)

ALSO, SET RIGHT AFTER CLOCK KEEPERS ARC AS YOU CAN TELL. She knows about jer incoming death and whatnot, but nothing of afterwards.
