Like A Star (별처럼)

chapter twenty.

JYP was singing in harmonious tune when he found loads of people from the media and press waiting outside his building. He snuck in using the back door before he called on all his idol groups for a meeting.

"Can anyone explain to me why there are reporters and annoying media people outside?!" JYP grunted, slamming his palms onto the long meeting table.

He looked around and asked each member from their own group.

"1 2 3 4 5... 5? Where's Wooyoung?" he asked the 2PM members.

They looked around and Wooyoung wasn't really there. The other members shrugged until they heard the press from downstairs in a complete riot. JYP walked near the window to have look. And there he was --the press and media throwing Wooyoung some questions he couldn't even hear.

On the other hand, Wooyoung kept his head down as he struggled to get in the building. His manager had found him and told him that JYP was looking for him. He immediately went to the meeting room, being welcomed by stares and death glares from the 2PM members.

"What?" Wooyoung innocently shrugged.

"They know." said Lee Sooman as he handed a newspaper to Taeyeon.

"H-How did they know?!" Taeyeon stuttered as soon as she took a grip to the newspaper "What will we do now?" she asked Sooman.

"Better clear this up." Sooman sighed "It'll get worse if we avoid it."

"Jang Wooyoung, can you tell us why the press were fighting over you? Did you do something wrong again?" JYP asked Wooyoung who was still innocently standing in front of the door.

"I'm quite sure I haven't done any scandalous thing yet." he replied.

"Jeogiyo! Jeogiyo!" a man holding some newspaper came barging in the meeting room, making Wooyoung fall over "Sorry!" he quickly apologized "JYP-ssi! Look at this please!" he handed out the newspaper.

HEADLINE: 2PM's Wooyoung and SNSD Taeyeon, seen kissing each other in PUBLIC?

"JANG WOOYOUNG!" JYP shouted as he threw the newspaper down the floor.

Wooyoung immediately went to him as soon as he heard his name. He looked at him in a cofused way as JYP looked at him in a how-do-you-explain-this-thing?! look. Wooyoung grabbed the newspaper and read it word by word.

"Everyone dismissed!" JYP shouted "Except for you, Jang Wooyoung." he pointed.

Right after the other idols left, JYP and Wooyoung sat down face to face.

"Explain. NOW." JYP demanded as he poked the newspaper.

"I-- We're-- It's true..." he sighed "I'm dating SNSD's Taeyeon." he paused "I'm sorry I haven't told you." he said, avoiding JYP's stare.

"I'm fine with that." Wooyoung looked relieved. "BUT!" JYP shouted, making Wooyoung jump a bit "Kissing and flirting in public?! What were you thinking?! You're not an ordinary person, Jang Wooyoung! And even if you were, this is Korea! That means public display of INTIMATE affection is not allowed!"

"I-I'll clear things up with the media." Wooyoung suggested, hoping it would calm JYP down.

"You better be." JYP grabbed his phone "I'll be contacting Sooman and make up plans for a press conference. Be prepared!" he told him.

Wooyoung nodded and left with a bow. He dialled Taeyeon's number, hoping she was alright.

"Yeoboseyo?" Taeyeon's voice answered from the other line.

"Taeyeon-ah, have you heard?" he asked.

"Mm." she yessed. "Better tell them the truth huh?" she asked.

"Yeah." he replied.

"How about Hyesun?"

Wooyoung thought for a while with his answer. Were they to reveal their hidden daughter as well?

"I think so." he slowly said.

"Same..." he heard her sigh "I hope we could get over this properly." her voice was a bit shaky.

"Yeah..." he tried to comfort her "I love you."

"I love you too." she replied with a sweet voice.
