Like A Star (별처럼)

chapter fourteen.

"Taeyeon-ah, please don't cry. I feel sad when you do."

Taeyeon pulled her head back a bit.

"Taeyeon, this is sudden. And I know you are still a bit confused with everything but,"

Leeteuk's left hand slowly linked with Taeyeon's as his right went to caress Taeyeon's pale face.

"Taeyeon-ah... I love you."

Taeyeon at first was shocked. She also wanted to refuse but she didn't want to hurt him.

"Taeyeon-ah, please. I can take care of you and Hyesun! I promise I won't hurt you."

Leeteuk slowly bent forward, slightly tilting his head, as he gently kissed Taeyeon's soft lips. Taeyeon didn't know what to do. But she felt happy when he kissed her. She pulled him closer as Leeteuk deepened their kiss.

Wooyoung was too excited to see Taeyeon that he didn't dare knock. He immediately opened the door and froze on the spot.

"Taeyeon-ah..."

He tried to talk but it turned into a soft whisper. Tears were forming in his eyes as quickly left their apartment, leaving the front door open.

Meanwhile, Leeteuk finally broke their kiss after a few more seconds. Taeyeon gave him a weak smile.

"HYESUN-AH! YOUR UMMA AND THAT GUY KISSED!"

Both Taeyeon and Leeteuk turned to the front door seeing Minkyo pointing at them and Hyesun wearing a happy grin. Taeyeon was in shock as Leeteuk's face turned pink. Hyesun quickly ran to them hugging Leeteuk's left leg.

"Umma! Please marry Leeteuk-appa! I want him to be my appa!"

Hyesun shouted in joy. Leeteuk looked at Taeyeon and Taeyeon gave him another weak smile. Leeteuk bent down, exactly as Hyesun's height as he talked to her.

"You want your umma to marry me?"

"Ne! You're handsome and good! You also treat us chicken! I want you to be my appa!"

Hyesun answered with a wide grin.

"You better ask your umma about that."

Leeteuk patted the little girl's head. Hyesun turned around to face Taeyeon as she asked her.

"Umma, can you marry Leeteuk-appa?"

Taeyeon smiled at her daughter before replying:

"Hyesun-ah, you know I can't do that because of my job right?"

She saw Hyesun pout. She noticed Leeteuk was feeling nervous as well.

"But he could be umma's lover! He'll just have to wait until our jobs are done then we could get married, arasseo?"

Taeyeon let out a small chuckle. Leeteuk smiled at her. Hyesun's pout immediately turned into another wide grin. She ran towards Leeteuk as he carried the little girl in his arms.

"You're my appa now!"

Hyesun told Leeteuk as she hugged him.

Leeteuk left Taeyeon's apartment after some hours. Taeyeon was in Hyesun's room, tucking her into bed. Taeyeon gave her daughter a goodnight kiss on her forehead.

"Umma." Hyesun called her back.

"Wae?"

"I almost forgot to tell you, Wooyoung-ajussi was here a while ago." she told her.

"M-Mwo?!"

Hyesun sat up as she nodded. "He asked me where my umma lives. Then after I told him, he hugged me. He actually went in our apartment, then I saw him walk out right after. It was weird."

"WHY DID YOU TELL HIM WHERE WE LIVED?! AND DIDN'T I TELL YOU NOT TO TALK TO HIM?!"

Taeyeon was out of control. She unknowingly shouted at her daughter. Hyesun looked really scared as she immediately hid under her blanket.

"Umma, mianhaeyo. Please don't get mad." Hyesun's voice was shaking.

"I'm sorry, Hyesun-ah. I was just... shocked."

Taeyeon told her as she removed the blanket over her daughter, then hugging her tightly. Her tears were forming again.
