Like A Star (별처럼)

chapter twenty-one.

Cameras, microphones, flashes, recorders, and people with questions were everywhere. Taeyeon and Wooyoung sat there, didn't know which question to answer first.

"Excuse me! One by one please!" Wooyoung and Taeyeon's manager tried to order the media.

"You start please!" their manager pointed to a lady.

"I'll get straight to the point! Wooyoung-ssi, everyone thought that you and IU-ssi were together, why did it suddenly become you and Taeyeon-ssi?" the lady asked as she pointed her recorder near Wooyoung.

"I-- Actually-- Uh-- Me and Taeyeon were actually together even before our debut. But when we were already idols performing on stage, we had some misunderstandings that lead to our break-up. But eventually we solved it out and we got back together." Wooyoung carefully replied his answer, wishing he didn't mess up even with a single word.

"How about explaining why you were caught kissing each other in public? Taeyeon-ssi?" another person asked.

"Well-- We just-- I guess our feelings got overboard and we forgot we were in public. We are really sorry for that incident." she formally apologized.

"Besides that kissing or flirting thing, some people had also seen you with a kid. And also heard you two calling it your DAUGHTER?" one man asked, actually the one who started all these publications.

Both Taeyeon and Wooyoung were startled, but they weren't not ready. Taeyeon looked to her side and fingered her daughter to go on stage with them.

"We... have a daughter... This is Hyesun." Taeyeon was feeling a bit nervous of the outcome "I was pregnant three years ago, and this is the result." she embraced Hyesun.

The media were in complete shock and silence.

"Please don't hate my umma and appa." Hyesun took a step forward "My umma has been crying a lot..." Hyesun eyes were teary "and I only met Wooyoung-appa a few days ago..." she pleaded "Please don't hate them..."

And the conference ended with Hyesun's message. The family made their way back home, hoping everything would turn out well.

Next morning.

HEADLINE: 2PM's Wooyoung, SNSD's Taeyeon, and their daughter -- Jang Hyesun, a happy family indeed.

4 years later.

"I promise you -- Jang Hyesun! I will marry you when we get older!" 8-year old Jang Minkyo knelt down right in front of the 7-year old Jang Hyesun as he took out a candy ring.

"What if I don't want to?" Hyesun played hard to get. Surprisingly, she already knew that even though she was still young.

"Why would you not want to?" he asked "I mean, you don't have you change your surname then! Your name stays as Jang Hyesun!" Minkyo told her.

Hyesun stuck her tongue out Minkyo as she ran away, making him chase her.

"Pilsuk-ah!" IU called for her daughter.

"Babe, stop destroying your vocal chords. I still wanna sing Nagging with you." Seulong hugged her from the back.

IU chuckled as she punch Seulong's shoulder.

"Umma, sorry! I was just giving Hyesun-unnie her gift." little Pilsuk said, trying to catch her breath.

"It's okay." IU smiled at her daughter "Come, let's go now. It's already late." she told her as she held her hand.

"Taeyeon-unnie! We need to go~ It's already past Pilsuk's bedtime." IU told Taeyeon who was drinking some juice.

"Oh it's fine. We'll see you again soon?" Taeyeon asked her.

IU nodded and gave her a goodbye hug.

It was already 12am, hours after Hyesun's graduation party finished. Hyesun was fast asleep inside her room while Taeyeon went in her own room, trying to change her party dress into comfortable pajamas. The room was dimly lit by the small lamp she had on her bed table. She was about to take her dress off when another pair of hands did it for her. Taeyeon closed her eyes, feeling the touch of what she knew, was her husband, Wooyoung. She tried to keep her cool and she chuckled for a bit.

"Wooyoung, it's late." she paused, "Maybe next time." she told him. Her voice was so husky that made Wooyoung want to kiss her more.

The next thing Taeyeon knew was that she was lifted off her feet, being carried to their bed as Wooyoung's hands trailed along her bare skin.
