DARK RED"I think of her so much, it drives me crazy"

ARABELLA Gray held a puzzled look across her face. Papers scattered across her desk, pen in hand. Her roommate, Layla Sinclair, sat beside her, sharing the same puzzled facial expression. The two graduating seniors struggled to finish their phytotoxicology project that was due in an hour's time.
"We could go for a walk, you know, to clear our heads?" Layla spoke.
Arabella Gray knew the real reason why Layla wanted to go for a walk; She wanted to see Xavier Thorpe. Arabella hesitantly agreed though, she could use some sunlight. The two silently made their way down through the Ophelia Hall dorms and down to the yard where the other students sat.
She heard the werewolves howl out to her, persuading her to come sit with them, but she politely declined them. Arabella had wolfed out a few years ago and started to hang out with what people called 'furs'. That's how she met Layla, and her younger sibling.
Arabella's eyes scanned through the crowd of students, stopping suddenly as she saw her best friend's sister, Enid, next to what Arabella presumed was Enid's new roommate. The new roommate looked lifeless and pale; the complete opposite of Enid.
Arabella took out her phone and started to mindlessly scroll. She started to approach Layla, as she was already chatting with some of the other werewolves. As she was marching over to Layla, she felt herself bump into someone. She looked up and saw a tall woman, wearing all black. She had the same pale and expressionless look as the girl she saw before, but she also had a friendlier aura to her.
"Sorry, I should watch where I'm going" Arabella exclaimed, apologizing profusely to the attractive woman standing in front of her.
"That's alright darling, I should've watched where I was walking. I must've not seen you"
Arabella smiled politely at her and started to move towards Enid and her new roommate, not knowing where Layla must've gone. Arabella approached Enid and greeted her and the pale girl next to her.
"This must be your new roommate?" Arabella spoke questioningly, inspecting the girl.
"Yeah. Wednesday, this is my friend Arabella. She's a senior this year, which means she's really helpful for homework questions that you're stuck on; especially gorgon anatomy questions." Enid told Wednesday enthusiastically.
Arabella smiled at her, but her facial expression changed as Wednesday gave her a disliking look. Their conversation was cut short as Ajax approached them.
"Yo, Enid! You're not gonna believe the dirt I heard about your new roommate. She eats human flesh! Chowed down on that kid she murdered; You better watch your back." Ajax announced, sharing glances with both Arabella and Enid.
Arabella tried to cover her laugh with a cough but miserably failed; she let out a kind of snort. She had heard the rumours about the new student, but she had decided not to trust them; the rumours made about her were way worse when she first came.
Enid stepped to the side, revealing Wednesday to Ajax.
"Quite the contrary. I actually fillet the bodies of my victims, then feed them to my menagerie of pets." Wednesday spoke confidently.
Enid chuckled, trying to fill in the gap of silence.
"Ajax, this is my new roommate, Wednesday"
Ajax looked her up and down and widened his eyes.
"Whoa. You're in black and white. Like a living Instagram filter"
Enid stopped him before he could continue talking.
"Ignore him. Gorgons spend way too much time getting stoned. He's cute, but clueless"
Arabella heard a squeal behind her, as Layla ran past her and jumped onto Enid.
Arabella watched as Wednesday gave them a disapproving look.
"Come on Layla, our phytotoxicology is due soon, and Ms Thornhill takes away marks for late assignments." Arabella scolded.
