DARK RED
"Only you, darling, only you"

THE countertop gave Arabella chills as she rested on it. She flinched as Morticia dabbed a cotton ball covered in a substance, on her cheek. The two women had locked all the doors and windows, while Lurch stayed on guard for more people.
Arabella's warm shower had calmed her down enough to make her sleepy, but every time she rested her head on her pillow and closed her eyes, she wouldn't fall asleep.
"Have you thought much about your future yet?" Morticia asked, throwing the cotton balls in the bin below them and brushing a piece of Arabella's hair behind her ear.
"Not really many options for a wolf I guess; After my inheritance from my grandparents, I'm pretty much set. I could go the rest of my life not lifting a finger. If I had to choose, I would become a teacher. But only at Nevermore" Arabella replied, slipping into comfier clothes.
"Teacher huh? If I had to be around kids for so long, I would probably end up murdering one of them."
"What about you, there had to be at least one dream job as a child; Doctor Addams, Manager Addams?"
"I don't have the same dreaming mind as you. I was more realistic, darling."
"Come on, Morticia please, I swear on Principal Weems's life, I won't tell a soul" Arabella whined.
Morticia gave her a scolding look and opened the covers on the bed. The two crawled in as Arabella pulled out her phone and let out a screeching noise, a type of sound that only a goat would make.
"I just got a text from Layla, which reads 'I think there's going on between Wednesday and Enid'" Arabella said, her phone screen lighting up her
Morticia let out a rich laugh
"They're just like us. I heard opposites attract" Morticia said, adding on.
"Does that mean we're dating, like officially"
"I guess it does."
The two spent the next hour talking about their interests and hobbies, with a few minutes of telling embarrassing stories. By the time they were finished, it was already 4 am.
The two rolled over and turned their lamps off, trying to fall asleep.
Arabella sat, anxious about what could happen to her if she fell asleep and let her guard down. She fiddled and fidgeted with her fingers until they were bright red, and almost bleeding.
"Morticia, I can't sleep," Arabella whispered, scooting closer to her.
Morticia groaned sleepily and grabbed Arabella's waist, pulling her closet to her. After 20 minutes, Morticia realised the reason why Arabella couldn't sleep.
"I think I know a way to help you fall asleep, love."
