VIOLENCE, SWEARING, HINTING AT SA✧
DARK RED
"Why I feel this way, I don't know, baby"

THE chilly air made goosebumps appear on Arabella's pale arms. Morticia had decided to take a shower to wash her hair, so Arabella had the bed to herself for 20 minutes. Arabella hid under the covers, a habit she thought she was done with by the time she turned 14. The return of this habit was the result of the pair binging multiple horror movies on Netflix.
Arabella's thoughts were plagued with gruesome images from Fear Street, and the murderer from Scream. Even the thought of it made her claws retract. Her phone screen lit up the darkness under her blankets. Morticia should be out of the shower soon, and she wouldn't be stuck in this eerie room alone any longer.
The hair on Arabella's arms stuck up as she heard the wind from outside enter the house, as she realized she left it unlocked. The whistling sound sent icy-cold shivers down her spine. She swore she could hear footsteps; it was probably Morticia finishing up in the bathroom
"Morticia! Are you out of the shower? Your side of the bed is getting cold." Arabella whined across the hallway.
No response; weird.
Arabella hesitantly crawled out of bed and put on her slippers. Her phone torch lit up her path as she walked past the many doors, inching closer and closer to the bathroom.
"Morticia I swear if this is some sort of joke-"
Arabella felt someone wrap their hand around her mouth, causing her to cut off her sentence. She felt something against her throat. It was a knife. A knife. Arabella screamed into their hand and flailed her arms around.
"One sound and I kill the one in the shower." Said a deep voice.
Arabella obliged and loosened her muscles. She scanned the hallway for something to help alert Morticia. She saw something in the corner of her eye; Thing. She tried not to look too happy to see the friendly hand looking at her from the top corner of the wall.
She saw Thing run toward the bathroom. Thank god.
Arabella felt the man lead her down the stairs, back out through a window in the kitchen. Thing needs to hurry up.
"You're stubborn just like your parents. They're sure to pay it now." The man said as he hauled Arabella over the tall black fence.
Her parents. Their corrupt business finally caught up to them. And now she was being dragged into it.
"Fuck you" Arabella hissed, spitting in his face.
She felt the sting of his palm hit her cheek, sending her face flying in the other direction. His hands which were now wrapped around her waist roamed down further than she wanted them to. As if he could sense her uncomfortableness, he let out a burst of booming laughter.
"I'm gonna have a good time with you, aren't I? Maybe I should just kill you now, get the job done." He laughed
It reminded her of her father's laugh; the way his face crinkled and his nose scrunched, and the way his eyes would tear up.
His happiness was cut short as a black arrow flew through his chest, splattering blood all over Arabella's face. Her head was throbbing. She could practically taste the sweat that was pooling in her underarms. Her legs finally gave out as she collapsed to the ground, letting out a small sob.
"You're okay Bella" Morticia shushed her, cradling her collapsed body.
"Come on, we need to go back inside, I'm almost certain there'll be more of them coming soon." She added on.
Arabella nodded and tried to wipe the cruel man's blood off of her face.
