Scott tiptoed throught the hospital occasionally stepping over bodies. The police should have come by now. He thought.
"Hello?" A voice called. "Please don't shoot us. We need to get to the surgical wing to help this man. He's in bad shape."
"I'm not him. Come on." Scott waited to see who the man was with.
"Thank you," he said as he rounded the corner. He studied Scott for a moment. "Wait. You're one of my patients. Mr. Grassi-Hoying."
"Derrick. Have you seen Mitch anywhere? I can't leave without him."
"Scott... I found Mitch about five minutes ago."
"Tell me where you saw him. I have to save him."
"He's um... right here." Derrick took the cover away from the patient's face, revealing Mitch.
"Oh my God! Mitchie! No no no." Scott leaned over to him and held onto his hand.
"We are going to do... everything we can. But we have to move if we are going to save him. We don't know if the shooters in the building.
