I'm leaving you
Fine get out who needs you
I don't want to leave
please stay I need you
Our lives were intertwined
From step one, can we hit rewind
Box sets, kisses, cupcakes and tears
You were there to fight off my fears
You did the unthinkable a lot of the time
But I still need you here
Don't you know your mine?
You left each and every time
Words unspoken that rhyme
I promise I do I love you
Words that stung and stuck like glue
But even though you did all that
You're still in my corner right off the bat
I know this love is fucking crazy
But you are and always will be
Mine baby.
We're burnt to a crisp by love
That once cradled us like a glove
I don't even mind it
I'd burn with you daily, my twit.

Background Story:
This was a really push and pull kind of relationship. They're awful to each other and literally should never be together. Alas like a moth to a flame we all still go back. It's like you know you hate them 40% of the time but the 60% they are brilliant and you still love them. I am super proud of the starting verse because I feel like it's exactly what is left unsaid. It's the underlying thoughts they're screaming internally at each other. No one realizes when you tell them to leave it's a sign to stay. Honestly this was in the POV of the woman but it's open to interpretation as are all my poems.
The song really showed what people go through in toxic relationships where they really want each other but also just can't have each other. That's why only love can hurt like that.
A/N: Hope you all had a lovely day thank you for reading and voting I'm so happy it's gotten a good response so far. I'd burn with all you lucky fuckers <3
