Juliette felt confused. She was in this fog she couldn't seem to get out of. It wasn't bad, it wasn't painful- it was just strange.

The hardest part of it all, though, was that she couldn't interact with the voices speaking to her. She heard them, she felt the people- she just couldn't seem to say something or open her eyes to see them.

"Mom," she'd wanted to say when her mom was speaking to her, "it's okay, I'm right here. I know you love me. I love you too."

"Dad," she'd wanted to tell her dad, "it's alright. Don't worry. Thank you for loving me, I love you too.

The hardest part of it all, though, was hard difficult it was to interact with her best friend, Molli. They'd always flowed so well together, and now Jules couldn't even say something to her or make a movement to let her know how she was feeling.

"It's okay, Molli," Jules wanted to say. "I hear you. I'm trying to tell you I hear you but I can't. You're my best friend too. You're a huge blessing to me too. I wish you could read my mind."

The most incredible person who had talked to her so far was a girl named Ashley. Inside, Jules beamed at Ashley's transformations and all that she'd overcome. Jules was so happy that she was able to play such a role in Ashley's life. Jules had never been able to be so influential to somebody.

"Thank you, Ashley," Jules had wanted to say. "I really appreciate it. I'm so proud of you. It's insane all you've overcome. Congratulations! Thank you for praying for me, although I really feel pretty okay. I just wish I could tell you so or motion to you in some way to show you. Thanks for stopping by."

Juliette started to think while people weren't trying to talk to her. "Why is everyone saying stuff about Heaven and goodbye?"

Juliette started to piece it together. "Wait- did something happen?" Jules tried to remember everything from earlier today.

Then, a flashback hit her. It was 10 am and she'd just greeted her boyfriend, Alex, into the house.

"Hey Alex," said Jules.

"Hey, Hun," he said, "are you ready to get going?"

"Yeah, do you want to take my car or yours? You still have yet to try out driving my new jeep," smiled Jules.

"Sure, let's take yours then," Alex smiled back.

"Okay, you can go ahead and get in, I'm going to go grab my keys," said Jules. Jules ran over to the kitchen and grabbed her keys off of the counter. She remembered feeling particularly happy at that moment. She loved doing things with her boyfriend. She was also excited to watch the basketball event. She'd never played sports, but she liked to watch them. She soon came out with her keys and hopped into the passenger seat. Just moments later many people's lives would drastically change.
