Meredith! Thought Juliette. Is it time? I've been stuck in this body for too long and I'm ready to go.

Meredith read her mind, smiling and nodding. "It's time."

First, I must pray, thought Juliette. Dear Father, before I make this transition, I pray that you will give my family, friend, and boyfriend vey much comfort. Remind them how I love them, please, I never want them to forget. Please help me as I make this transition and please allow all of me to glorify your name. I love You and trust You. Amen.

"Ready?" Asked Meredith.

Juliette soaked in the atmosphere one more time. Yeah. I'm ready.

Juliette felt herself floating up from her body. Then, she could see again. She realized she was an invisible spirit, at the top of the room. She observed her lifeless earthly body with curiosity. "No more with life on earth, huh?" Juliette said to Meredith.

"Do not be afraid," said Meredith. "God has His place for you in Heaven all lined up. He has a plan for your life on earth. He has a plan for those you love."

"I know," said Juliette.

Juliette watched the doctor come into the room to check on her, to make sure she was doing okay. As he observed all of the machines hooked up to her, he sighed and let down his head for a while.

"What's he doing?" Whispered Juliette to Meredith.

"He's praying," replied Meredith as she smiled. She loved to watch people pray.

"Heavenly Father," prayed the doctor, "I don't know how I'm going to break the news to her family. They will be so heartbroken. They will have lost their brightest young soul they've ever known. I pray that she is with You right now and I pray that You would give me strength to tenderly inform her family. Amen."

As he finished the prayer, Meredith said to Juliette, "Come on."

"Where?"

"God just told me to go with the doctor to give him comfort and to bring you with me, because they will still sense your presence and hopefully have some comfort in that," said Meredith as she glided over to the doctor taking Juliette's hand.

The doctor went down the hall into the waiting room and asked Juliette's family and close loved ones to come into the room that Juliette had been staying in.

"I'm very sorry," said the doctor, "but Juliette is gone. I mean, she's not off life support, but she is brain dead and absolutely cannot recover."

Juliette saw a tear trickle down her mother's cheek and saw her father hang his head. Alex's eyes teared up and Molli kicked the chair in anger. "Ugh!" She groaned. "Why..."

"I said a prayer for you guys, and when you're ready to pull the plug let me know. We should probably do so within the next couple of hours. Please feel free to say your last minute goodbyes. Again, I'm so very sorry," said the doctor.

The most Juliette's family could do was nod as a thank you. They were too upset to speak. When the doctor left the room they all broke into prayer.

As they prayed, Juliette went around and hugged everyone, giving them one last piece of her, hoping they were able to feel it. After about twenty minutes they were done and seemed to make peace with what was going on. They called the doctor in and took off the life support. Juliette watched her body slowly die until they put a cloth over her and wheeled her off somewhere else.
