" Stay. "
OLIVIA WAS ASLEEP. But, even though she was having nightmares, Narnia was one step closer to peace each day that passed. The giants in the north were no longer a problem in the meanwhile, and that was one less headache for the kings and queens. Olivia was very tired, and she was sleeping so much for the past few days.
Every day the Pevensies and Olivia spent in the kingdom, the less they remembered about their home. Lucy and Susan forgot to bring the dresses to their mother as they had promised to one another, Edmund and Peter forgot the face of their family, the only one who held on to her memories was Olivia, who missed her grandfather so much.
Every night, before sleeping, she passed the scene of him tucking her in bed the night before she got in the wardrobe. That memory was what kept the girl sane, and the one thing about her home that she would always cherish was the love her grandfather had held out for her.
But, that night, she was having an awful nightmare, instead of dreaming about Professor Kirke telling her bedtime stories. She was sweating, tossing and turning in her bed. The girl in the black cloak was running away from a dragon, but not any dragon, a white dragon with scales and deep icy eyes that felt like freezing anyone that spent too much time staring at them.
It chased her, soaring just above the ground as she ran with her spear in her saddle and her loose hair sticking to her face as a consequence of the sweating on her forehead.
She looked back for a few instants and saw the dragon quickly on her tail. She hit her head on the branch of a tree, and fell down on the floor with a 'thud'.
She opened her eyes, to see a dragon close to her face, and Olivia's breath hitched. Suddenly, the dragon started smelling her, and his tongue licked her face.
The girl was confused for a second, before realising she was in no danger at all. She giggled, and the dragon licked her again. She got up from the grass and tried to pat the white creature in the head.
The Dragon and Olivia stayed there, getting to know each other before a large net was thrown on top of him, and suddenly, an army of Telmarines charged their bows and launched arrows at the animal. Olivia widened her eyes and screamed, seeing the creature wailing in pain and dying right in front of her.
She sat up on her bed, still screaming and sweating. Tears roamed down her face as she looked at the brown door across the room.
The door burst open, revealing Edmund with his sword in hand and his messy hair from rolling out of bed. He looked around the room, checking for any undesired guests, until he looked at a panicked Olivia on her bed. He dropped his sword to the floor and went to engulf her in a hug. He carefully kneeled in the bed, and carefully adjusted a sensitive Olivia Olmore with her head on his chest and her arms wrapped around his torso.
