The New Girl (Naruto x Reader)

A day with Sakura (5)

Y/n POV

I walk to the address Kakashi told me to go to. Today I have to say with Sakura, better keep one eye open when I sleep..

I'm prepared this time, I have clothes and all the other necessities. Sasuke helped me out after 20 minutes of begging.

I arrive at the address and knock on the door. "COMMING!!" I hear Sakura yell and then the sound of rushing downstairs.

She opens the door, and he smile quickly Fades. "Oh, Y/n. What are you doing here."

"Kakashi told me that "It's Sakura's turn to babysit you." I say with a sigh. She laughs slightly and opens the door. "Come on in, my parents aren't home right now."

I walk in and look around. "Your house is nicely decorated." I say while still looking around.

"Thanks, my mom did all the decorating." She says heading upstairs.

I stand there awkwardly when she pokes her head from around the corner. "You coming?" She says.

"Oh ya! Sorry!" I say smiling and scratching the back of my head.

She's stares for a moment and chuckles to herself.
"What's so funny?" I ask. "Nothing, that gesture is just something that reminds me of Naruto." She says starting up the stairs again.

I scoff and follow. "I'm nothing like that dummy!" I say.

We both get settled sitting down on her bed. After a moment of silence she says, "so.. what did you and Sasuke do..?

"Nothing fun, I already told you. I'm not interested in him girl. So not my type." I say rolling my eyes.

"Okay okay, good." She says with a face of relief. "If Sasuke isn't your type, then what is?" She asks leaning forward slightly.

I think for a moment. "Probably a carefree, passionate person who sticks to his word." I say leaning back. "Also someone loyal, and not afraid to express himself." I finish.

She smirks and leans forward more. "You wanna know who you just described~" she says teasingly.

I tilt my head and look at the girl. "Naruto!" She says giggling.

"No way!! Just from meeting him once he is obviously rude and immature!!" I say raising my voice slightly.

She laughs and leans her back against the wall. "I'm just messing with you!" She says.

After another few moments she says. "You know, there's a bathhouse right down the street, wanna go there and relax?"

"Sure!" I say standing up. "Great! I'll I'll grab some stuff. Be right back" Sakura says leaving the room and downstairs.

I look around and see a photo of my three teammates and Kakashi. 'Hm, this must've been when they first became Genin.' I think while getting closer to the photo.

"What ya doin?" Sakura asks coming back in. "Oh, just looking at this photo."

Sakura then walks over and looks as well. "That was when we first became Genin." She starts. "Naruto wouldn't smile because we forgot to untie him from the post." She says rolling her eyes.

"Why was he ties to the post?" I ask, and she laughs slightly. "That's a long story."

"Oh, alright." I say looking away from the photo. "Well, I have everything ready, wanna go?" She says.

I nod my head and then we head out the door. We walk there and arrive in minutes.

The place spits off into two separated spots, the male, and then the female.

"Would you like to go to the inside or outside?" Sakura asks.

"Inside, it's less likely for creeps to sneak a peak." I say with a scrunched up face.

"I agree with you on that one! Naruto tried peeping that day when we took Kakashi here to try and see his bare face!"

"Did you guys get to see him?" I ask while the both of us check in and walk to the bath.

"No! He went in the bath with his mask on!!" She replies while setting out stuff down.

"Sakura you naughty perv! How do you know!" She tenses up and starts stuttering.

I burst out laughing and begin undressing. "It's not like I wanted to see anything or whatever!! Only his face!!!" She says getting flustered by the minute.

I keep laughing and undressing. "Wasn't Sasuke in there~" I say in a teasing voice. "LETS JUST DROP THE TOPIC!!" She speaks out.

We both finish undressing and when I go and get in she says. "Woah Y/n, you got it good in the T department." She says staring.

I cover myself and get in the water and look away in embarrassment.

She gets in too and looks at me. "Nothing to be embarrassed about! Your lucky!!" She says trying to encourage me.

"And to think you not even done growing, I'm jealous!!" She says leaning back soaking in the hot water.

"Ok!! But its weird making comments like that!!" I say also goes deeper into the water.

She rolls her eyes. "We are both girls, what's the big deal?" She says.

"Well, I've never really had a friend." I say. 'Or maybe I did, I don't know..' I think afterwards.

"Really?? Well I've been around you for 2 hours and I can tell we will get along!" She says smiling.

"To be honest, at first I thought you were a obnoxious brat. But I totally misjudged you!" She finishes.

"Thank you..?" I say sinking farther into the hot water.

We spend the next hour or so talking about past memories of team 7. Not going to lie, it's making me feel kinda singled out.

We get out of the water and dress ourselves. "That felt amazingggg!!" Sakura says gathering out things.

"I agree, totally relaxed my muscles!" I say as we head out the door.

We arrive at her house and set up a spare mattress on the floor next to her bed.

We both take turns in the bathroom and lie down on our beds.

"I gotta admit, this was fun!" I say cuddling up under the blankets. "I agree, we should should this again some time!" Sakura says shutting the lamp off.

"Goodnight Sakura." I say shutting my eyes.
"Goodnight Y/n!" She replies doing the same.
I fall asleep instantly thanks to that hot soak.

Originally I was going to have Sakura and Y/n be sort of frenemies, but I realized it is like that in like every story I read! Hinata is usually the go to best friend for Y/n, so I decided to switch it up a bit!
