Y/n POV
I awake to the sound of knocking on my front door.
"U-um coming!" I Yell out. I get up and fix my hair real quick.
I open the door slightly to see Neji standing there. "Oh! What are you doing here?!" I say realizing I'm a complete mess.
"You wanted to hang out today?" He says. "Did you forget." He asks before I could answer.
"Oh no no! I was honestly asleep.." I say scratching the back of my head. "Oh, I see." "Lazy, and messy it seems you are." He says in a normal tone of voice.
"Hey! I'm not lazy! I just erm, slept bad is all!" I say frowning. He stares and then says. "I apologize if my statement was offensive."
"Haha, no your fine! Come in!" I say as I completely open my door. He walks in and looks around.
"Looks like a trash heap from the outside, fairly decorated on the inside." He says. "Um.. thank you??" I say wondering if that was a compliment or not.
He nods his head and sits on the couch. "I'll be out! It should only take a few minutes!!" I say going into my room.
I grab my clothes and go into the bathroom. I do the normal daily things, brush my hair and teeth, wash face, change, etc.
I come out 10 minutes later and see Neji in the same place as before. "Haha, sorry about the wait!" I say.
"It's alright, shall we go?" He says standing up. "Yup!!, where to?" I ask smiling.
"Why don't we take a simple walk around the park and get to know one another." He says as we both head out the door.
"Hey wait!! I want to meet your team first!!!" I say looking at him.
"No, I told my teammates to meet up at the training ground at 11. You can meet them there."
"That's a whole 2 hours!!!" I say whining. "You act like quite the child." He says.
"Uhm! Well you act like a grownup!!" I say trying to have some kind of comeback.
"I see, is that a bad thing?" He asks sounding actually worried about it.
"Oh uhm- of course not! Now I have a friend that I can speak to without loosing 10000 braincells!!" I say grinning trying to lighten the mood.
"I see, you remind me of Naruto." He says facing forward as we continue to walk.
"What- wait how! I don't understand why everyone says that!!" I say.
"Your constantly whining and complaining, but you seem to be bold and persistent." He says. I just stare at him and think for a moment.
"You also have that same goofy grin as him. If it weren't for your difference in looks, I would've thought you were twins." He finishes.
"Yeah right, nobody's smile could possibly match his." I say smiling and shaking my head slightly. He stops and looks at me.
"Your quite fond of him I see?" He says looking in my eyes. "Wha- YOU MAKE IT SOUND ALL LOVEY DOVEY!!" I Yell getting flustered.
A few villagers turn there heads out way and I look down in embarrassment.
Neji chuckles a bit and says, "your a riot Y/n, a certainly interesting individual."
I keep looking down at the ground. "Your compliments aren't very clear ya know..."
"I apologize, I'm not used to this kind of stuff." He says closing his eyes. I place my hand on his shoulder. "Hey don't worry about it! It makes you unique, and I find it sweet!" I say smiling at him.
I notice his cheeks get slightly pink, but just shrug it off.
I look around and notice the beautiful flowers and sceneries. "This park is beautiful!!" I say still looking around in awe.
"It is, isn't it." He says smiling slightly. "Hey!! Your smiling!! And Its a genuine smile!" I say smiling. "I see, is it ugly?" He says.
"No no! You should do it more often!" I say smiling
"I see, I'll keep that in mind." He says sitting down on a nearby bench.
I sit down besides him and look around. "So y/n, where do you come from?" Neji asks.
"Oh, a faraway village. It didn't even have a name haha." I say leaning back.
"Interesting, that's a rare occasion. I've lived in the leaf my whole life." He says.
"This seems like a really nice village, I think I'll enjoy my time here." I say smiling to myself.
"Your time here? Will you be leaving." He asks curiously.
"Oh well, I don't know Haha! I'd like to Stay, but life is a twisted tunnel with many sharp corners." I answer.
"Also, quick question. How did you know where to find me.." I ask. "Your Naruto Neighbor, remember?" He answers.
I blink at own stupidity. "Right right! Haha!" I say scratching the back of my head. "Don't know how i forgot about that, probably because he has been gone for a few days." I say.
"I see, it must be quiet." He says. "Oh yeah! A little too quiet!" I say smiling slightly.
"Hey Y/n," neji starts. He seems to hesitate and then looks at me.
"You told me your first name, but not your last. That's quite odd of a person to do." I blink and think for a moment.
"Welll, you didn't tell me your last name either!" I answer.
He thinks for a moment. "I suppose, but only because you left yours out." He answers.
I look forward for a moment. "I.. honestly don't know my last name. I was abused ever since I was a child. It never occurred to me that I really needed one." I say faking a frown.
"I see, I'm sorry I brought up such a difficult topic." He hesitates and awkwardly places a hand on my shoulder.
"It will be o k." He says trying to comfort me. I burst out laughing and he just blinks.
"What is so funny?!" He asks clearly getting embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, om sorry!! That "comforting" was just..." I begin laughing again.
"I told you I'm not good at stuff like this!!!" He says clearly getting flustered.
I keep laughing softly to myself. "Well then, what is your last name Neji?" I ask.
"Hyuga, is my last name." He says calming down. "Oh alrighty!!" I say smiling.
"It's almost 11, would you like to start walking to the training area?" He asks.
"Suree!!!" I say getting up. I wonder what his team mates are like!
